Since it's inception, The Whatever Well has been a band of diversity and passion. Passion for the worship of God. Though it has had many incarnations, but the flavor has always been the same. Fronted by singer/songwriter Michael Bunuan and Guitarist Billy Lindsey, who have mixed 80's metal to the post punk gothic music into a soulful-melodic blend of rock and worship, accompanied by an energetic live show. Their heartfelt lyrics of praise sung over searing guitar riffs and rhythmic bass and drum lines has produced a sound all their own. Bassist Jamie Stone and Drummer Krystal Leidl add a solid foundation to the core of the music. Kim's versatile voice and thought provoking lyrics are like refreshing water on a hot summer day.
The band has been able to play with some awesome up and coming christian acts such as Warren Barfield, Ever Stays Red, BDA, IMISI,Time Spent Burning and PAX 217. They have been able to work with some great ministries and venues such as Against the Flow Ministries, who became their street team, Teen Challenge, various churches and local bands through Michael's promotion company, Never Thirst Music.
Trying not to take things too seriously, this group of friends realize the urgency of the gospel and why the message they share needs to be clear; "For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 and "With joy you will draw water from the well of salvation." Isaiah 12:3. God is good and faithful and that is the message that the Whatever Well wants to convey. "I don't care where we play," says Michael, "whether a church, club or coffee house, Jesus Christ will always be prevelent and evident in everything we do."
