About Me

Studying musical theory in High School, lead Will to compose original compositions on guitar. Becoming very interested in odd time signature instrumental music, Will started playing drums in a 3 piece group which played covers from “Jeff Beck’s” Blow by Blow and Wired recordings also covering Mahavishnu Orchestra and Dixie Dregs tunes - which lead Will the opportunity of a lifetime in setting up Rod Morgenstein’s drums with Jeff Baxter (roadie) and receive some brief but critical instruction from Rod Morgenstein on the Dixie Dregs so-cal run through the Golden Bear and the Roxie. Local Anaheim guitar players Dave Ramos (Kid Ramos/Thunderbirds) and Mike Reilly (Elvin Bishop/Allman Brothers) played the local Orange County area with Will in his early years at drums. Later, Will joined forces with the metal group “Matriarch”, playing on the same bill with groups like Slayer and RATT. Later, Will filled the drumming duties with Max Gringo, a comedic group of musicians eloquently and comedicly mixing Spanish with English lyrics covering common occurrences of daily Southern California living. Max Gringo was a featured artist at Studio Cities BB Kings night club............... The group SLAM released “Flying Guitars” which featured Will on several tunes. Timo Laine (Zebra) and Will’s brother, Don Bagby (Pacific, Gas and Electric) are the hot guitar pickers featured on this guitar-fest recording. During this time period Will recorded with the group “Peacemakers” (Dan Litwin). This group lead Will to opening the Libertarian Presidential Convention in Atlanta, GA featuring blues rock guitar veteran Jimmy Vaughan............... During this time period, Will met up with Raoul Ranoa from the Redlands group Rullian. Over the course of a year, ideas were recorded and the result was Chameleons in Disguise released in late 2006. "Chameleons in Disguise” is available at CDBaby, ITunes, Amazon, Guitar9, Frettunes and Amazon. The CD features three of Will’s own compositions............... Currently, Will has recently studied double bass techniques with “Bobby Jarzombek” of Spastic Ink/Riot/Iced Earth/Halford (Judas Priest).
