"The New Folklore - @ Sir Ben's every monday!"

About Me

Greetings. My name is Teague Alexy (yes, real name). I have two Irish-born Grandparents, an English-born Grandmom (Nanny) and my Great Grandfather who brought over the Alexy name from Czechlslovokia, married a Hungarian girl and died in a Pennsylvenia mine accident when my Granddad was 1 year old. I was born in San Francisco, my family is based in Philadelphia and I grew up in Somers Point, NJ. After high school I moved out to San Diego for four years, bounced around for another year and have been living in Northern Minnesota for a little while now. While in California I recorded my first CD called Jive Ass Turkey with my oldest and best friend Angelo DeRosa under the name Spilled Milk. It is a combination of the old school hip-hop we recorded as kids and the laid-back California acoustic jazzy sounds I was getting into at the time. I still consider it the bomb. We ventured back to South Jersey, put a band together and had about as successful a ten month run as any band could hope for. I then moved to Minnesota and commandeered the CD’s Sun Moon and Heaven, The Love and The Struggle and The New Folklore as well as two Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank CD's (me, my brother Ian Alexy and friends). The music has put me into some special places and situations and introduced me to many truly amazing people. In turn, these experiences have continued to inspire and strengthen my writing, playing and singing. It RE-volves and E-volves. I am grateful to each and everyone who has been involved from my fellow musicians to the folks who buy CDs and take time to listen, from the promoters who paid hardly enough to cover gas to the haters who talk trash, from the people who yell for encores to those who let me sleep on their floors. At this very moment it all seems beautiful. Indeed. Ever Onward, Ever Upward, Forever More. 1love…..teague Listen to Teague Alexy w/ The Feelin Band Here
