Thank you all. Seriously, thank you all.

About Me

Hello all, This is an acknowledgment to the fact that LOUDRAY is taking a hiatus until the spring. Colin and Jon will still be performing in the Twin Cities and beyond. Colin has 2 new groups, Darkwood Flower and Eagles vs Rockets. Links can be found in our "top friends". Colin has decided to take a break from the RAY to pursue these other projects as well as making a larger commitment to his role as 1st banjo in the Roe Family Singers. So, keep us in the RAY near and please come out and see what Colin and Jon are doing. LOUDRAY has not broken up. Jon had nothing to do with the hiatus, it was all Colin. So anybody looking to book the RAY, is gonna need to settle for one of our other projects or else have a lot of money to offer us. Jon and Colin and Tubbs away at school, are all very busy and maintaining our commitments to our partners and our jobs creates a situation where sometimes hard decisions have to be made. We, LOUDRAY, want to thank everyone who has helped us over the last 3 and a half years, it has been amazing. So, we'll do what we can to continue to keep this site current with the show dates for all of our projects, and make sure to frequent the Monday nights at the 331 club when Colin might show up. And the cd will now only be available through Jon at his shows. And if you see Jon, ask him when he's performing next.
Bob Serrano emerged 1150 years ago from the depths of Lake Michigan. Not seeing any land, he meditated to elevate himself above the water until discovered 500 years ago by French voyagers paddling across the lake.
Johan "Sheriff" Stow-well (a.k.a. Payroll, Dooba, Shareef), esteemed alumnus of the Wabash Dudes Young Man's Finishing School, returned North after the heart of a young handmaiden who, herself, headed South seeking adventures where mysteries abound. Upon arriving in St. Paul, Dooba reunited with his old pals in the Marshall-Dayton Gang and returned focus to his better well-being.
Hatpan Sixscrews, banjo, appeared one day in a field of onions. He began humming the familiar tune, "Black-eyed Suzy". The vibrations led him to a circle of like-minded individuals where he was handed a banjo and the funniest looking cigarette he had ever seen.
Tubby Ray plays the same washtub he was birthed into. The broom handle was carved out of the tree that was struck by lightning and fell on his father when Tubbs was 16. Both he and his girlfriend are jealous people.
LOUDRAY destroys evil. LOUDRAY invented time. LOUDRAY is pre-Caspian. LOUDRAY is now. You are LOUDRAY. We are LOUDRAY.
Go! Fight! Win!!
Neighbors picking on the front porch for friends, friends calling other friends, and a scene is born. We want to play in your kitchen, we want to sing you to sleep. We will play for food, or play for drink. We will move about the set as we see what we want to see: That is what my eyes lay upon. We are arriving at the destination; there is a fire and a fog, there is a time and a place, there is a backyard where everyone is singing along, LOUDRAY will meet you there.
