As Elctrikchair grows, new and exciting revisions are underway. As you all know, the core and founding members of the original three piece Elctrikchair; brothers, Andy [Lead Guitar-Vocals] and Bob Rodriguez [Drums], are as committed as ever to delivering the most earth shattering metal possible. In anticipation of our commitment to quality underground metal and deserving metal fans world-wide our [original] management team and underground label [new and metal as hell] are auditioning and adding metal talent. Not everyone will fit the bill, you may see lineup changes when we don't feel the chemistry is metal enough. New additions are interim bandmembers and subject to change for at least their first five years with Elctrikchair. This approach is necessary to ensure our fans will get the best unadulterated metal product possible. Hails brothers and sisters in metal! The "chair" is immortal! Elctrikchair's big break happened in 2004 when they played the Milwaukee Metal fest 18 with Black Dahlia Murder, Cattle Decapitation, Death Angel, Mod, Macabre, Cephalic Carnage, and the MisfitsDestruction Tour 2006, the second leg of 'We're Not A Real Band Summer 2006' successfully launched in the Northwest and Canada was again a resounding national success. On behalf of our sensational tour bands, Elctrikchair and Grindscape, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone [sorry, too many to list] that had a hand in making one of the nation's only genuinely 'independent' tours such an incredible success and helping to lay a cornerstone for future national/international independent tours.Topeka's Heart Attack Jacks packed the house with metal fans and was treated to sic performances by Elctrikchair and Grindscape. The first of the tour's challenges became apparent when excited fans demanded autographs and purchased merch in record numbers, leaving merch inventories in short supply. Not a bad problem to have right out the gate.Heart Attack Jacks showed why the mid-west is known for its hospitality and friendliness. If you're a rising independent music act, you don't want to pass on an opportunity to play Heart Attack Jacks. Topeka fans put to rest all the rumors you hear about the scene being dead in the mid-west. Fans rocked out to the thunderous metal of Grindscape and Elctrikchair, headbanging, moshing and generally raising hell, nowhere in America is metal more alive than in Topeka, Ks.Lincoln, Nebraska's Knickerbockers was the perfect venue to host Destruction Tour 2006. An enthusiastic metal crowd witnessed Lincoln favorite, Cynge as they heated up the stage with ear shattering original hardcore. Elctrikchair and Grindscape followed and added to the awesome show with deafening original metal to the delight of screaming fans, many underage who were turned away at the door moshed in defiance on sidewalks and headbanged on window seals outside the club while struggling to hear the explosive sounds of their favorite thrash band.A huge crowd at Carbondale, Illinois' Mugsy McQuire's [some guessed 500 or more] blew the doors off anything seen during the tour. Wow! Southern Illinois is the home of metal. Our special thanks to Crunch Haven, the masterful promotions company that put this show together. None of this would have happened without their professional intervention. Hails!Carbondale's Poor King, two piece masters, caught the attention of the crowd followed by hardcore sensation, Lineage, comprised of ex-members of Monstrosity and guitarist, Will Mcclanhan; a spectacular soloist who has performed with Obituary. Annihilate took the stage to complete the perfect package. All three Illinois' bands combined to thrill screaming fans.EC seemed inspired by the crowd response and expressed their appreciation by putting on perhaps one of their best performances ever.Lead guitarist, Andy Rodriguez, put it this way: "The energy of the crowd was surreal, we lost track of time." The show ended with fans screaming for more and the sound manager being pummeled with insults for muting sound to end EC's extended forty-five minute set.Elctrikchair and Grindscape then headed to the Big Apple for a Destruction Tour 2006 highlight appearance at the world famous CBGBS.The most memorable comment Elctrikchair got from a CBGBS staff member: "You guys act so normal, I didn't realize you were the headlining band. Based on how you play, you deserve to be treated like rock stars but its really cool that you don't think you're too cool to be one of us."CBGBS is being evicted to make room for accommodations for the homeless. It's fitting that the greatest 'grass roots' [non-commercial] independent rock club in the history of the United States is stepping aside to make room for its fellow disenfranchised citizens. Some of CBGBS history, however, will live on forever. A book that serves as a historical record of the club's past has been written and certain icons of the club are marked to become part of the new CBGB'S to open in Las Vegas in the near future. The world knows that nearly every great band has been invited to play CBGB'S. The walls and nearly everything else [including the urinals and commodes] in the dimly lit punk-metal cove are papered with proof of rock's timeless presence.Walking through the club gives one a very real sense of being embraced by ghosts of rock's past [The Ramones, Nuclear Assault, Dead Boys, Carcass, AC/DC, Napalm Death,The Misfits just to name a few.] CBGB'S has long been and shall always be the envy of every fan, band and music venue in the world. Hails! CBGB'SElctrikchair brothers, Bob and Andy Rodriguez and bandmate, Steve Stanulonis; put it best, "headlining a show at CBGB'S is such an honor that it wouldn't be fair to set foot on stage without saluting every band, musician or act in America that ever dreamed of being a part of this legend."Upon learning that his band had been confirmed to headline a show at CBGB'S lead guitarist, Andrew Rodriguez, had this to say, "I dreamed about performing live on stage at CBGB'S since I was in eighth grade [Andrew is now 22 years old]." With a wide-eyed expression on his face and a flood of emotion consuming him, he added, "Playing CBGB'S is my lifetime dream realized, performing as the headlining band at CBGB'S is beyond my wildest imagination. I want every kid who ever picked up a guitar to know that it isn't bull shit. If you're willing to work your ass off dreams do come true. No matter how much crap you have to deal with along the way. This makes every sweltering basement rehearsal and envious insult worth it. Hell yes, CBGB'S, Elctrikchair is honored. The only thing that separates us from other musicians is that we are fortunate enough to have this opportunity and willing to pay the dues to get to New York.During our trip we couldn't help wondering how many legendary bands endured the grueling challenges of the road.Without modern conveniences, early rock bands survived starvation diets, gave up showers for weeks on end, tried to ignore the blistering heat and fatigue and set aside the attitudes of assholes they encountered along the way.None of these things discouraged them which is why many of those same things continue to inspire Elctrikchair."We played our guts out for our great fans and everyone trying to make it now or that will try in the future. Together, we're the world's music scene."Long Island's Whiskey Life opened the CBGB'S show with an incredible New York groove metal sound followed by Remains of the Fallen who then exploded onto the stage with some of the Big Apple's best hardcore. Colorado's Grindscape captured New York fans with their awesome Rocky Mountain doom metal sound and headliner, Elctrikchair also from Colorado, stormed into the Big Apple sending N.Y. fans into a frenzy with sensational original thrash metal.Crazed fans moshed, headbanged, jumped on stage in perhaps the most frenzied farewell CBGB'S could ever have envisioned. Ear drum shattering sounds, unrestrained rebellious vocals, melodic perfection, it was all there. None of the fans or bands wanted it to end. At times it seemed members of every band that ever played there was on the floor or on stage and their fans were feeding the endless sea of energy. It was, electric. The entire CBGB'S show was broadcasted live, via the internet, to rock fans around the world. Hails, to rock fans worldwide!Elctrikchair and Grindscape are now officially a part of the enduring legacy and proud heritage of the greatest rock club in the history of the United States, New York's, CBGB'S.We would like to send a special thanks to our friends [who kept us from starving and delirium] fans, venue owners and promoters who made this timeless rock honor of all honors a reality for Elctrikchair, Grindscape, Colorado and most of all, rock fans around the world.Despite the early morning hour following their performances at CBGB'S, Elctrikchair and Grindscape took time to pay respects to victims of 911 by visiting the former site of the World Trade Center towers, now eternally honored with ongoing construction of appropriate historical monuments.Destruction Tour 2006 also included band member visits to national attractions in Boston, MA, Washington, D.C., Arlington, VA and Niagara, N.Y.By the time the tour arrived in Joplin, MO it was 8 p.m. and 97 degrees, by 9 p.m. temperatures reached 115 degrees on stage with humidity nearly 95%. Even those conditions didn't keep music fans from packing the Cesspool Castle to see their favorite metal bands.Grindscape was first to take the stage and blew the roof off the place followed by Elctrikchair who polished off one of the best metal shows MO has ever seen with energy driven stage antics and a fury of sic thrash fans moshing and headbanging to an electric, pulsating and thunderous roar and the taming shrill of incredible solos that are a metal trademark.Following Elctrikchair's set, fans showered the band with shouts of more, more, more, more... EC responded with a surprise encore to bring the hottest evening in rock-n-roll history to a dreaded but suitable conclusion. Fans cheered and eagerly approached both bands to buy merch and get autographs.Destruction Tour 2006 also included sic shows by Elctrikchair, Grindscape and several east coast acts at Chicago's O'Malley's, Boston's O'briens, Gaithenburg, MA's Firehouse Cue and Buffalo N.Y.'s, Showplace Theatre.OMAHA METAL FEST IIIAmong the best run, most well organized metal fests we've ever had the privilege of participating in, Omaha metal fans are among the best in the world. The fans that attended OMF III brought their metalness with them and weren't afraid to show it off.Included in a slate of some of the best metal bands in the U.S. Elctrikchair and Intestinal Strangulation led the way by putting on what could arguably be referred to as the best metal show in America and leaving no doubt as to why independent [underground] bands are so much better than mainstream radio-big business-corporate bands, mascarading as metal. Its not about money, its about metal. They don't get it.These were genuine metal fans, they weren't planted there by corporate slugs asking them to pretend. They didn't attend because their friends or family were in bands, they came because metal is sic. They didn't leave after one band played, they stayed for the entire fest and supported metal. We've never seen anything like it! Omaha, holds its horns high.Metal can learn from these frenzied mid-western metal marvals. Hails OMF III, you set the stage for what we envision will be a long standing mid-western and world metal tradition. Omaha is writing its own version of legendary metal.Turnout for OMF III was very strong compared to other metal fests around the U.S. We recommend the Omaha Metal Fest to any metal band looking to escape the frauds and experience metal.Mary Bialastoki, AuthorDust2Dust MusicDARKSOUL7.netRadio stations playing ELCTRIKCHAIR metal are:KCRT-Power Surge
