About Me

"Lahlitah" is my indian name that was given to me by a beloved spiritual teacher of mine years ago. The placement of the letters are supposed to give blessing to my vocal cords and generate energy to my spirit. Its loose translation means: "young girl who sings sweetly". Please call me this name anytime you wish. I love this name for many reasons.
So I hear that the reason Mozart didn't have to ask anyone how to write symphonies was that he was taken (allowed) beyond "Mozart's"consciousness and desired them to be written. He said "I never asked anyone how to do it." He was speaking from simple truth and modesty. Symphonies "presented" themselves to him as... "Lively Dreams". They were so forceful, that he had to stop what he was doing and write out what he heard. This evokes my own inspiration to try to live by listening to the greater consciousness and to allow it, follow it, obey it. Inspiration is an idea that gets a hold of me and it takes me to where I chose to go long ago before I chose to be a particle-to inhabit my physical body. This knowledge is of the infinite kind. Anything we see as a 'duality' is unreal. Rumi, The 12th century dervish said: "You, Me, I, They"--These are distinctions which do not exist. In the Garden of the Mystics, there is only Oneness." This inspires me and I hope it will you too.

~my work site...the vainer, actressier one~
I am only interested in working for offers these days for several good reasons. Namely: because I have earned it. My business links and work can be found all over this page for your consideration. I have earned my keep in this business for 20 years and am not interested in doing the grind in Hollywood anymore. I will enthusiastically get on a plane if the story, role, and offer is good. I love good art, good stories and am very passionate about being a part of helping to tell them. I always have been. However, I have not run into this kind of material in a very long time, so I chose to expand my life and add other important things to it.

~The Beauty Files~
I suppose the gist of what you may like to learn about me is that I find getting my hands dirty in the dirt of my flower garden and kayaking down a river on a humid summer's day with friends to be ridiculously more 'glamorous' and fulfilling than driving on endless pavement, glimpsing an occasional imported palm tree. I have learned that I hold a deep appreciation and respect for the softer, more natural side of things. It has taken me many years to finally accept and nurture this beautiful natural fact about myself...and now I enjoy it immensely. Aging is a great thing. Wrinkles are a great thing. (I wish women would leave them there--start a wise trend), for I feel they grace a face and engratiate the viewer of yours by silently showing a map of your life. Let's see, what else?-- I love interior design, feeling the pages of old books, eating ruby red grapefruit before I sleep, fabulous hair conditioner, and good arch support in my shoes (usually boots or airwalks). I can't stand malls. I feel like they are bright,, manipulative ant-hills with susceptible, droney people sucking down orange juliuses. I feel they are a stress pit. I much prefer boutiques, bookstores, and second-hand stores or simply not shopping at all.

Thank you for the gift of life,
For letting me be me,
For all that I can know by words
And all that I can see,
For all the music I can hear
And all the songs I sing,
For all the joy that comes to me
And all the joy I bring,

For all the food that I can taste
And all the sweet scents smell,
For all the loved ones I can touch,
Who love and wish me well,

For all the beauty of the world,
Ever fresh and new,
I don't know whom else I can thank,
And so I'm thanking you.

A shocking and worthwhile documentary from a sincere American; Producer Aaron Russo. I learned more about the IRS and our government than I am pleased about. It is imperative, in the name of patriotism, that we view this film and become more educated as American tax payers. Please make the time:

"If we pay the salaries of the congressmen and the senators, we're supporting them, aren't we? Well, yes. Well then why can't we list them as dependents and deduct them?" -American Film 1950. Income tax is the instrument of totalitarianism. It is the means by which the government can manipulate people. At some time in your life, if you are selected to be a juror in a case involving someone who has not paid income tax, simply ask the judge, "Show me the statute written by Congress that allows the government to tax the wages of the American people." If the judge can't show you the law, then how can you possibly convict someone and destroy their life?--- that the average American citizen is required to pay income tax."
There is NO LAW.

"None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free." -Goethe

The 1880's Victorian Times... I have a home that was built in 1885 and I feel it is more like a person than a thing. I like soul in a home. I love corsets, flowing gowns, drinking tea and reading a news paper. Things were simpler then, and people were more easily close and truly treasured. They spent TIME together. I wish I could live in this time born from 1880-1946. Yes, those were the days I admire. I think technology brings us wonderful things, except that it dissolves real human connection--in person connection--it tries to make it passe, outmoded. Let's try to spend time together more, to balance the many benefits of technology, can we? Please. I think it subtly, but surely, effects our world in profoundly deep and balancing ways. I wonder if our world's intense agitation and present horrendous conflict, more acutely evident as than in recent years, has any kind of direct or indirect correlation to the rise, the inevitable climb of technological systems? Hmmm. Here's a reverie for you...one I like to roam around and play in:

I'd like to meet fellow Siddha's like me. Go here to learn about the ashram in L.A. and all about the beauty of Siddha Yoga practices:

â₁“Honor your Self. Worship your Self. Meditate on your Self. God dwells within you as you.â€Â? â₉€œSwami Muktananda
Imagine looking at the world you live in, and recognizing divinity in everything you see and everyone you meet. Imagine facing every situation in your life with the unwavering strength and delight that come from the certainty of the divine presence within you. The Siddha Yoga teachings assert that this attainment is not only possible, it is our birthright. The goal of the Siddha Yoga path is Self-realization -- the unceasing experience of yoga, or unity with God. Within each of us, behind the mind, the body, the ego, is a divine power. We practice yoga to recognize this divine power, the Self, and harmonize all our actions, thoughts, and words with it. The key to this divine vision of ourselves and the world is shaktipat,or spiritual awakening. When we receive shaktipat, we gain entry to our inner spiritual realms. Then, through our practices, our own spiritual awareness unfolds. The Siddha Yoga teachings are made easily available to seekers around the world through the work of the SYDA Foundation. Gurumayi Chidvilasananda, as head of the Siddha Yoga lineage, continues a sacred tradition of making shaktipat available to seekers. Under the guidance of her teachings, Siddha Yoga students embrace the spiritual practices of yoga including meditation, chanting, contemplation and study, and selfless service, as the means to the goal of Self-realization. The Siddha Yoga teachings spring from the timeless
