I'd like to meet:

Those that tempt fate...

Music:

Depending on the mood I'm in......Talib Kweli, Outkast, Mary J, Mystic, Elton John, The Roots, Tupac, Beastie Boys, Jay Z's Black Album, Common, Fleetwood Mac, Sublime, Rage Against the Machine, Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder, Mos Def, Phantom of The Opera soundtrack, Ms. Dynamite, Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Angie Stone, John Legend, Lauryn Hill, Broadway musicals.......... I pretty much love anything that moves me--makes me wanna dance, sing (I didn't say it sounded great when I do), songs that take me back to a moment or make me want to create a new one...what can I say I love music. And I know I left a bunch of artists out in that very compact list.

Movies:

Shit this is as eclectic as my musical tastes: Cheesy 80's shit, dance movies and artsy, foriegn flicks, anything that makes you cry, think, moves you to do doing....something...singing, writing, falling in love, changing the world, falling out of love, traveling, calling your mom....What you want examples? So demanding....Well you asked for itBreakfast Club (pretty much all Molly Ringwald), The Worst Witch, Flashdance, Dirty Dancing, Fame, Footloose, Save The Last Dance, Center Stage, Y tu Mama Tambien, Amalie, Real Women Have Curves, Ray, All About Eve, Peyton Place, Slam, Casino, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind (god I wish I could erase some shit sometimes), Love Jones, American History X, Crash, Hotel Rwanda, Something New, MIchael Moore's extreme in your face documentaries, ummmmmm sure I'll think of more later

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, All the crime shows, I miss Sex and the City, and what the hell ever happened to My So Called Life?

Books:

To Kill A Mockingbird, The Color purple, In the Time of The Butterflies, Temple of My Familiar, Marcy Alexis, Sarah Jones, Saul Williams, The Great Gatsby, Wicked, The Poisonwood Bible, The Lovely Bones, The Secret Life of Bees... A few of my favorite authors besides those mentioned above, are Toni Morrison, Alice Walker, bell hooks, and Julia Alvarez. Their writing feeds the soul.

Heroes:
