Back in September 2006, Beau Joblonski and Mario Mcfadden formed the band Brimstone. Included in the lineup were Gary Fender and Chris Phillips, now of Meth to the Father. After a few months of playing and writing together, musical differences forced them to go their separate ways. With a "never say die" attitude, Beau and Mario kept on truckin’ and continued to write songs and look for new members. Then, they were introduced to Jon Oakley, who just so happened to play drums. At that point, the three of them decided to change the name of the band. They needed something dark and ominous, but also represented the southern feel of their music. After a few more months of playing and writing together, Cody Lewis was added to the lineup. With Sabbath-like riffs and slow, heavy grooves influenced by the styles of Corrosion of Conformity, Down, Godsmack, and Alice in Chains mixed with the southern charm of Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Circle of Crows has developed a large and loyal fan base.
