DJ Affect, born Ari Kalimi on March 17th, in Miami Beach, Florida discovered his amazing skills on the turntables at a very early age, due to a childhood injury, which prevented him from participating in almost any physical activities. His drive and determination gave him a head start to what would quickly become his career, making his first big break in the club scene at the age of 15 in South Beachs then hottest nightclub Cream. Rapidly gaining the respect of some of the biggest names in the music industry, Affect gained an extensive list of performances with artists such as the late Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun, P. Diddy, Mobb Deep, Beanie Siegel, Luke, DJ Clue, DJ Funkmaster Flex, and many more. He has also had the opportunity to showcase his talent on shows such as BETs Rap City The Bassement, which included host Big Tigger and special invited guests, platinum recording artists Ludacris and LL Cool J. The Luke show, which broadcasted on 99 Jamz (the ..1 Miami Hip-Hop station), and once again with Luke at Miamis Spring Bling 2006. DJ Affect is also the founder and CEO of AK Entertainment, which ranges from club promotions to studio production.
