About Me

Biography
At first listen, its hard to believe that Louie Knuckles lyrical chic flourished in the bass heavy streets of Miami . His words dont just paint images; he allows fans to become overwhelmingly involved with his personal stories that seemingly come to life like motion pictures. With over 34,000 CDs sold independently , his 5 consecutive self produced Memorial Weekend releases; The BLOCKBUSTA and Vice City mix-tape series has solidified Louie Knuckles as Florida's premier unsigned rapper/producer.
The son of two Brooklyn bound Haitian immigrants; Louie uses innovative harmony, melody, rhyming patterns, rap styles, and topics in his music catalogue. The young prodigy began wooing audiences at countless talent shows, contests, and Apollo style competitions as early as age 11. By 1998, Knuckles secured a independent label deal, produced, and released the national radio single and video "M.I.A.M.I." (305) Released in 1999 under the group name First Platoon , the album "CONNECTED" earned an impressive 3 1/2 mics from Source Magazine (Mar 99,) and received inspiring reviews from Rap Pages, XXL, Blaze Mag, Flair, Now Magazine , as well as other local and nationally printed publications and international cyber mags.
In 1999 Louie was invited to Blaze Magazine's 16 M.C. Freestyle Battle in Daytona Beach, Fl. With unmatched stage charisma and wit, the Miami Mic Titan won the crowd of judges and emerged as champion. Later that year, while touring the Dirty South, MidWest, and East Coast, Knuckles opened for an assorted range of acts from DMX, Eminem, and Canibus , to Luke, Trick Daddy and Trina , as well as headlined his own shows. Louie also managed to make an appearance at NYCs Lyricist Lounge , and Vibe Magazine's 24 Hour Emcee showcase.
More recently, Louie joined forces with high schoolmates Pacastar, Vegas Joe, and Casino to release Knuckleheads: Street Sweeper Vol. 1 and The BLOCKBUSTA mixtape series. Beginning with 2003's The Blockbusta: "Welcome to Vice City" , with songs featuring Alicia Keys, and Coldplay, 2004's The Blockbusta 2nd Ave: "Return to Vice City" (previously released as "Guess Who's Back") featuring Mary J Blige and Boo and Gotti, and 2005's Vice City Chronicles featuring New Edition, Lil Mo, and Stat Quo , Louie Knuckles set himself apart from the goings on of the day, with a sophisticated flow and song structure. 2006's Free Louie: "The Very Best Of Knuxx" was a complilation created and released by Louie's peers during his year of incarceration. It was composed of mostly prior hits, colaborations, and mixtape drops Knuckles recorded prior to his jail sentence. 2007's Dysturbia: "From The Outside Looking In" found the M.C. speaking from the perspective of a prisonor and house arrestee. It was entirely produced and recorded while on Community Control with tracks emailed to Louie from across the globe. With tracks like "Alphabet Boys" and "Fire" , this CD represented Louie's most prolific, introspective, and inspiring music to date.
Louie Knuckles has been branded into to Dirty Bottoms expanding Hip Hop scene, in which he helped to create. Acting as founder and CEO of Knuckleheads Entertainment, Red October Ent, and @Knuckleheads.Trx , Knuckles manages to juggle superb rhyming, first-class CD marketing and promotion, head a promising production team, and maintain a decent GPA at a local university. Louie also spends a lot of time behind the board as engineer, producer, A&R, and writer for Miami Rap and R&B acts like Rick Ross, FloRida, Trina, Cee Tention, PitBull, Phatz, Brisco, Gun Squad, P.M., DirtBag, Iconz, Mad Dingo, Double Edge, Don P and a treasure chest of others. He has also had sit in sessions with producer/writers such as Missy Elliot and Jive Record's producers Cool-n-Dre (The Game, 50 Cent)
Unfortunatly, they don't call him "Knuckles" without reason, and in 2006 Louie was jailed for a year when the streets finally caught up with him. Upon his release, Louie headed back to the studio and recorded "Dysturbia" in 3 weeks. Currently, Louie Knuckles is seeking to spread his brand of spicy Hip-Hop to the Rap worldwith the release of his first major label solo album called Champagne and Cigarettes . CnC represents the philosophy Knuckles has adopted known as the duality of life. He is quoted in saying about the album "..for every bottle you pop, there's a grind to be had. I love and hate women sometimes at the same time. I couldn't make an album talking only about the goodness of life without speaking on the hardships. This album represents balance, and its taken my whole life to get me to this point of understanding" His perfect blend of old school nostalgia, bluesy harmonies, and witty metaphors is a delicious experience. Whether through his captivating lyrical approach or groundbreaking beats, Louie Knuckles is an artist that will capture the minds and hearts of generations to come.
