I'm an underground radio dj since 1980.89.5fm/KPOO.com, pushing soulmusic, and introduced the first non-commercial hip-hop radio format in the sfo bay area, with a live mix and demo review of local and unsigned rap/artistz, including on-air interviews and freestylez; pluz, introduktion of new genre'z of musik-breakbeatz/33'z played in 45rpm, pop-new wave, latin freestyle, reggae/ dancehall, club/disco/house, alternative rock, and nu-jazz/soul. we would often flazhback 2 old school recordz/vinylz, b-sides, instrumentalz, bootlegz, accapellaz/speechez, audio snippetz, and live/concert recordingz. we also, included seminarz on the musik businezz, on the radio program, for aspiring artizt'z . it wuz all about networking, revolutionary ideaz 2 uplift the consciousnezz movement. the true purpoze of hip-hop. the really real rmx. to never forget apartheid/south africa. things i have been known to turndown in hip-hop: rick rubin/russell simmons' offer to work for defjam, calls from seancombs at uptown/called too much,i was too busy working on the automators' music to be murdered by record and gigging/i turned down pac's offer to dj or produce for him-during the raising hell tour1986, pac was 14/we snuck him in the studio to see the in-studio interview of timexsocialclub/freshprince/llcoolj/whodini/run-dmc; turned down tour with nwa,tone loc,and some british djs doing house,puffy's job offer at badboy/to work on cris's/n.b.i.g. first album. i did try 2 stop the east vs. west coast feud. but, nobody would listen. hip-hop got lozt in gangzta paradize. the money made uz believe in the confusion of being in heaven. i went in2 exile and prayed, az the cycle of death, destruktion, and doom. infekted rap musik. i tried 2 preach renaissance, az the induztry clout suppressed the truth. it did hurt, az i wuz called a fool. finished debut hip-hop movie entitled "ITCH!!!", entered it into the cannes film festival'06/the dj documentary got banned, even though, it featured world supreme dj'z(q-bert, mixmastermike, x-men, alladin, babu, shortkut, and swamp). prepping to shoot the first of a 3part hip-hop/sci-fi trilogy/"I KILLED LOVE" in 06. if not busy in the studio, djing at clubz or private gigz, i'm rmxing the rmx's on the radio/KPOO. also,turned down q-bert's offer to start a hip-hop band/q liked my acoustic soul band idea. whenever, i've got free-time in-between gigz, i work on hhard film'z projektz and write movie scriptz/storiez. i do get a lot of offerz from a variety of artizt, who want me to produce for them because of my vintage collectionz/library, including a personally authograped, by all four original memberz, promotional copy of led zeppelin'z 2nd album, variouz edition of punk/new wave/alternative underground, classic club/house test pressingz, unreleased versions of prince's private archive/plus pac's makaveli1-11, and other rare audio/video content. all requezting somethangz added 2 their mix. i don't say i do. but, i do. az a hip-hop dj, i do it in such a way. where u can't tell, even if i did. the sample kan sound like, i'm playing it?the original artizt?or a complillation of snippetz 2 make it sound like the original or a rmx? in reference 2 uncle g., defining the origin'z of the mothership. feel the groove and let the funk all up in yo-soul!
