GET GAPPED!!!!

About Me

Generation Gap is a Blues/Rock Band featuring one of the youngest active rhythm sections in Indy. Primarily a cover band playing the blues stylings of such greats as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and BB King as well as rocking the house with songs from Green Day, Van Morrison, Metallica, Jimmy Buffett, and many more. The band also performs originals in the styles of blues and rock. Most would think having a 12 and 14 year old in the band would make it sound much like noise, but coming out to see them play will put you first in disbelief and awe shooting you into a rocking good time. We have and are willing to play clubs, weddings, private parties, and fund raising events. Booking Info. 317-445-0586 [email protected] The band consists of: Culley Burton (12)-Bass Guitar Ryan Corlew (14)-Drums Jeff Corlew-Vocals Travis Burton-Guitar

Band Members: Culley Burton: 12 year old bass player. Culley has been playing bass since he was six. He started asking to learn to play an instrument at 3 years old, but demanded it just after his 6th birthday. He chose bass and has been cranking out the rhythm ever since. He has performed since he was 6 1/2 years old through other bands, notably Benito DiBartoli and the Black Voodoo Band, JB DeVille, and Governor Davis and the Blues Ambassadors. He even played the 2004 Indy Jazz Fest with Benito. Culley has been performing consistently with Generation Gap since he was 8.Ryan Corlew: 14 year old drummer. Ryan has been playing drums since he was 5 years old. Ryan can play in many different styles and is very good at picking up drum parts just from listening. Generation Gap is his first band and we are lucky to have him. In the years the band has been together, Ryan has grown tremendously. Ryan has also learned to play guitar. He is very serious about his playing and serious about the band.Jeff Corlew: Lead Singer. After running sound for the band from it’s inception, Jeff moved over to assume the duties of the band’s front man. This is Jeff’s first band. He does a great job and rounds out the band.Travis Burton: Guitar. Travis started learning the guitar shortly after Culley started as they wanted to learn and play together. This is Travis' first band and is serious about continuing to learn his instrument and evolve. The band started in March of 2004. Culley and Travis had been doing some jamming with Benito DiBartoli and the Black Voodoo Band and met drummer Steve Prince (Dane Clark Band) who was teaching Ryan at the time. Steve introduced Culley and Travis to Ryan and they started jamming together a bit. Travis called on college roommate, Jamey, to come in and try out the lead vocal spot. The band has been working together ever since and has played at clubs in Indianapolis, Greenwood, Greenfield, and Fishers, as well as playing weddings, private parties, and fund raising events. In the fall of 2006, Jamey left the band due to family obligations. Jeff Corlew was asked to fill the void. Jeff has been running sound for the band and had jumped in several times to sing with the band at private parties. He did a great job and was the logical choice with Jamey exiting the band. GG is excited about the next chapter and is currently looking for gigs. Again, we are willing to play clubs, private parties, weddings, and fund raising events.Booking Info.: 317-445-0586 or [email protected]
