J-holla and 3rd Deggree
Influences: Wow so many hmmmm here's a few of 3rd's influences. Rakim, Blackstar, Common, OneBeLo, The Subterraneous, Run DMC, Slick Rick, Wu-Tang, Wordsworth, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Nas, The Gap Band, Laryn Hill, The Stylus Pilots, Jay Dilla, Jay-Z, La Resistance, and it keeps going but this is cool for now.
Sounds Like: This is a question that is VERY difficult for me to answer. I anlong with J-Holla are very dedicated to making a sound or listening experience that is BRAND NEW. That being said this what I've come up with to answer this question to the best of MY ability enjoy......A unique blend of what it would be like if Common and Jay-Zwere fused into one person who had Com's social awareness, individuality, and realness. Combined with Jay's Reasonable Doubt flow and ability to connect with an immensly diverse audience on an equal level from person to person. And if D'Angelo and Al Green were combined into one human being who had the power, soul, and unique sound of Al. Blended with the new school version of old school roots sound and relevant to the "everyday life" content of D'Angelo. And then those two cats meet in the same era grew up in the same area and then decided to not work or make music but CREATE MUSIC together..........Yea, right now, that's what I think it sounds like.
