"Where the name Moneyball came from":
The name Moneyball came from a nickname Mr. Ferguson recieved while played AAU basketball in high school. Mr. Ferguson has always been known as a great shooter on the basketball court. In this one particular AAU game, while playing on the same team as high school phenoms Robert "Tractor" Traylor, Kevin Garnett, Terrence Roberson, and Albert White (all players that were top 10 senior all Americans), Mr. Ferguson consistently hit jump shots from beyond 30 feet. Everytime Mr. Ferguson shot the ball, Kevin Garnett screamed "MONEYBALL" as the shots went in. From this day on, Mr. Ferguson was given the nickname Moneyball. "I can't remember exactly who started calling me Moneyball, it was either Kevin Garnett or Robert Traylor, and we all played for the same AAU team, Team Michigan. What I do remember is that being one of my finest times on the basketball court, and its where Moneyball began."
