A man on a galloping horse wouldn't notice

About Me

I was born with the full moniker of Benjamin Edward Holland, but will cheerily accept the more common abbreviation of 'Ben'.
Some more things:
I am a 'Lancastrian', which means I was born in Lancaster. Which is itself in Lancashire. Some other people I know were also born in Lancashire but many, many more... were not.
For the last seven years I have chosen to reside in Newcastle Upon Tyne and I live in a house. The house number is 277, if you ever chose to drop by. Be warned though, I might not be in.
Contary to the singer-songwriter code of conduct, I have never been photographed with my guitar, staring moodily into a wooded glade.
I've never been able to whistle right, so just stop asking us. Also, saying 'but Ben, everyone can whistle' is neither use nor ornament.
Rumour has it that Ellington, the local homeless drunk, froze to death every year on Coronation Park, Ormskirk, between the years of 1992 and 1997. He always re-appeared the next spring.
I like magic tricks but cannot perform them.

My Interests

Music:

Influences: I'm rather partial to soft boiled eggs for breakfast, with soldiers and a cup of tea.

Did you know Alfred Hitchcock was terrified of eggs? He had ovophobia. Which is a shame as I'd rather have enjoyed having brekkers with Hitch. We could have discussed films.

I also enjoy the music of Jake Thackray.
