At a sweatlodge ceremony in Ben Lomond, CA in 1997, I met a woman who said, "You're a songwriter? You have to meet my brother. He loves recording musicians for free". Thanks, Dan, for lending your instruments, recording me, and turning me on to Son Volt and Richard Buckner.
Thanks to Duane and Linda for recording my recent songs, coming to my shows and having a genuine appreciation. It's mutual.
I studied music theory at College of Marin, then transferred to Mills College and studied music composition for a year until I realized I couldn't read music.
So I dropped out and hit the road kinda like Kerouac. Some say "Wendy" means "wanderer", but I looked it up. To wend means "to direct one's path". ~w~
Here's my first music video. It's not low budget. It's NO BUDGET!
That's right, it was done for free, and I was even given a $5.00 Jamba
Juice card for volunteering my talents for Academy Of Arts College
student Maria Christina Herenandez's video project. Thanks, Maria!
