About Me

Andre Harris and Vidal have an uncanny instinct for producing thoughtful and expressive music. The duo’s trademark recording style - adding live instrumentation over infectious rhythm sections - has helped to redefine and resurrect the old Philly soul sound, originally put on the musical map by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. In recent years, Grammy winning producers Dre & Vidal have helped to create the richly organic neo-soul scene in the City of Brotherly Love. World-class artists like The Roots, Jill Scott, Eve, and Jaguar Wright have made Philadelphia a hotbed for emerging young talent, and Dre & Vidal have undoubtedly been a part of this movement. In 2002, the duo honed in on their production skills with such hits as Michael Jackson’s “Butterflies,” and on Glenn Lewis’ “Don’t You Forget It.” In recent years, Alicia Keys, Young Buck, Jill Scott, Omarian, Carl Thomas, Bilal, Faith Evans, Mariah Carey, Floetry, 112, Macy Gray, Joe, Ronald Isley, Justin Timberlake, Donell Jones, Musiq, Darius Rucker, Will Smith, Ruben Studdard, and Glenn Lewis have employed the skills of Dre & Vidal, racking up millions of dollars in record sales.
