Let's see...I'm a people person, (with people who are people people..) I like to have fun, spending time with family, my precious lil' Laila. She's my pride and joy. I'm married to one of the craziest people on the planet, for putting up with me and He's just CRAZY!! He truly brings a lot of laughter and/or Embarrasment to the family...LOL I love him dearly though, and I wouldn't change a thing.I'm a song writer who wishes she could devote more time to her craft. I still make time for it though, because it is one of my passions. I have a couple of projects I'm working on, that maybe you'll hear about soon. I believe in writing songs with purpose! We'll talk more about that later. Anyhoo..one of the other things I love is working with young people. I'm currently in school full-time to become a guidance counselor and I work full-time as an assistant teacher. My Interests

I like to write, watch a good flick with Al (my husband, if we can stay awake), spend time with my daughter Laila, play basketball, get on myspace read about you and listen to some good music.

Music:

I'm a huge gospel fan...born and raised on it. Right now it's about Tri-City's Finale (Act Two) God's Favor....it's only a snippet, but I'd have a heart attack if it was the full song! Kirk Franklin (Hero), Donald Lawrence (I Speak Life), Ty Tribbett, Jonathan and Jason Nelson, Myron Butler, and it will always be all of the Hawkins Love Alives, all of Richard Smallwoods stuff especially this new one coming out, all the Winans, and Commissioned, early Witness, even that Sing Bruce Cd..Favorite singers Marvin Winans, Kim Burrell, Melanie Daniels, Sherri Wooten, Jason Nelson, Gene Moore Jr., Blanche McAllister, Lalah Hathaway, Ted Winn, Cherisse McIntosh, Lisa Paige-Brooks, Bruce Parham, Tasha Montfort and Lisa Jefferson, Benita Farmer, Tamyya J., Tye and G.A. and Tony Moore are my favorite locals.....My favorite writers are Fred Hammond, Michael Brooks, Marvin Winans, Kim Burrell, Dawkins &amp; Dawkins, Lauryn Hill, Ted Winn, PJ Morton, it's just too many to name... But I do love Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, Bilal, Common, The Roots, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway, Donnie(The Colored Section), John Legend and Chaka Kahn....etc....the list goes on...Then.....I love those underground artist who are not afraid to be themselves, ....keepin it Hott!!

Movies:

Love Jones will be my number one movie...Two Can Play That Game....Love and Basketball...I just love a ghetto love flick!! Then it would have to be Color Purple, Coming to America, Dumb and Dumber....I'm just a silly girl

Television:

My Wife and Kids is too funny...that's my favorite show right now.. and Celebrity Fit Club?...what people will do for some money....sad, sad, sad..

Books:

The Bible (that book of James will check you) and my textbooks...I don't have time to read anything else...I'll be sleep in the pages.

Heroes:

Definitely Jesus....he keeps me sane and out of jail. Then it would be My mom, Grandmom and Aunt Rachel. Real women of faith and strength

I know this is now a church cliche'. But the Lord really convicted me about somethings that I was complaining and worried about...how can I have the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, but...
