Music:
Metal. Hardcore. Metalcore. Rock. Sappy alt-country. Anything that tugs at the heart strings or is so brutal and ferocious that I A) need a nap afterwords or 2) am so cathartically cleansed by its rage and fury that I want to play with baskets of puppies and kittens afterwords...But some of my faves are The Beastie Boys, Snapcase, Far, HATEBREED, Killswitch Engage, Van Halen, Terror, AC/DC, Lucero, The Mountain Goats, Mastodon, Burnt By The Sun, Opeth, Lamb Of God, Unearth, Poison The Well, From Autumn To Ashes, AFI, Deftones, Thursday, Boy Sets Fire, NWA, A Life Once Lost, Stretch Arm Strong, Eighteen Visions, FALL OUT BOY (Pete, will you marry me?), My Chemical Romance, Clutch, Chimaira, God Forbid, Shadows Fall, In Flames, Madball, Martyr AD, Every Time I Die, Bleeding Through, Throwdown, Life Of Agony, Dying Fetus, Shelter, Vision Of Disorder, HIM, The Haunted, It Dies Today, Slipknot, Converge, Starkweather (cult Philly band, the singer is one of my best friends ever), Avenged Sevenfold, Neurosis, Acid Bath, Glassjaw, Head Automatica, Warrant, Steve Earle, Byzantine, Trivium, Unbroken, Converge, Coalesce, Christ, Earth Crisis, Grade, Onelinedrawing, KISS, Black Sabbath, The Sword, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Oceansize, Codeseven, Dredg, As I Lay Dying, Unida, Kyuss, Injected, Tool, Slayer, Swans, Agony Scene, Anthrax, and many more I cannot remember at this moment!

Update 03.05.06: Brokeback Mountain - my favourite movie of all time! Have seen it 23 times since the 12/6 premiere. HEATH LEDGER WAS ROBBED AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES and THE OSCARS!!! ROBBED BLIND!!! I saw Capote, and I love Phil Seymour Hoff, but HEATH BECAME ENNIS! HE BETTER WIN THE FUCKING OSCAR!!! Anywho, BBM had me crying 3 times, laughing a hundred times, and pulling for Jack and Ennis the entire time. THE PERFECT MOVIE! Thanks Ang Lee. Seeing Gyllenheath paw at each other appealed to me, very very much so. I want to see them go at it, don't get me wrong. It's totally hot to see those 2 beautiful men get all lathered up over each other...But, the short story made me sob, and I connected with it on a base, primal level. It's a beautiful, haunting story that I clicked with on an instinctually human and emotional level. I love the idea of a relationship of genuine, strong, long term love b/w 2 men. It's risky and ballsy, and seen as so taboo in our culture, and the movie handled this beautifully, that two men CAN love each other with great depth. A beautifully acted, loyal retelling of the aching stor...I LOVE WHEN ART SPEAKS TO ME ON THIS LEVEL!!!!! Magnolia. Wet Hot American Summer. Purple Rain. Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Mr. Mom. Grizzly Man. (I will DIE for these animals. I will DIE for these animals. MELISSA IS EATING HER BABIES!!) Jacob's Ladder. Raging Bull. Better Off Dead. Breakfast Club. Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Office Space. Napolean Dynamite. Anything starring Paul Rudd, an underrated comic genius, just check his chops in "Wet Hot Am Sum," "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Anchorman." Anchorman. The Golden Child. The Hours. Angel Eyes. Requiem For A Dream. What About Bob? Groundhog Day. The Elephant Man (Pass me the kleenex when John Merrick is in his room, using his new gift, his dressing case, to groom himself, and the drunks come in and the throw his grooming tools around and then they douse him with the cologne from the case, and then leave him all a mess... I sob like a teething infant at that part... Seriously... b/c it shows the cruely of humanity towards a very genteel, if disfigured, person. It's beyond belief, it defies description, and it's unbefuckinglievable.) Big Momma's House. Along Came Polly. Cannibal Holocaust. Punch Drunk Love. Friday The 13 (The Orig). A Bronx Tale. Goodfellas. Royal Tennenbaums. Pumpkin. Shopgirl. The Blair Witch Project. Murderball. Jarhead. Me And You And Everyone We Know. Happy Endings. Big Fish. The Good Girl. Donnie Darko. Outfoxed. Rushmore. Nightmare On Elm Street. The Excorcist. Sin City. Shattered Glass. Kids. Gravesend. American Beauty. Anything starring Chris Cooper, really. Passion Of The Christ. Dreaming In America (Lucero DVD). The Godfather. I Spit On Your Grave. Breakfast On Pluto. I'm Not Scared (Italian, with subtitles).
