Make a Memory Every Day that will Last a Lifetime!

About Me

I'm Carol aka Coral Reef, my alter ego. Lots of you know me as TxTwister. My friends would describe me as... Adventerous, Outgoing, Independant, Free Spirit, Outrageous, Spontaneous, Fearless, Passionate, Good Hearted, Headstrong, Wild Woman, Wild Child, Problem Child, Trouble, Hot Blooded, Party Girl, Gypsy Soul Sista, Cool Chick, Sea Wench, Fire Woman, Rock Goddess, Band-Aid, Old Soul... YODA!!!
Just don't Piss Me Off, ok??!!!
Yep, Don't Mess with Texas!!! I was born and bred a Native Texan... goes back many generations on both sides... totally German... well about 99%... I'm even a Daughter of the Republic of Texas... which means in that 9yr window of winning our Mexican Indepedence and becoming a state in the U.S... someone in my ancestory became a citizen of the Republic... and I did the paperwork to prove it!!... Remember the Alamo!!!
Well Behaved Women Rarely Make History!!!
I believe... ANYTHING is POSSIBLE
... Everything Happens for a Reason...
You never know unless you ASK/TRY... and...
I believe in DREAMS... and DREAMS do COME TRUE!!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take
... but by the moments that take our breath away...
Believe in Miracles... Expect Great Things
... Once in a Blue Moon...
You meet someone special... And you are left breathless
...It's a rare thing but it does happen...
Do you believe in Love @ First Sight? Fate? Destiny?
... Maybe it is a memory from your subconscious of a love from a past life? Kismet...
What would *YOU* do? Run Away? or Embrace It?
... Take a deep breath... Take a chance...
ME: I promised myself... I will never run away again!!! I've learned the hard way... nothing last forever... gotta EMBRACE it while you can... NO REGRETS... JUST DO IT!!!
... then there will a time you'll have to LET IT GO...
YODA SAYS... Life is TOO SHORT to LIVE in FEAR!
I have been the Co-Producer and Production Coordinator for THE SCENE for the first three years... check out our website... www.thescenerocks.com. It used to be a public access show on TWC about the rock music scene all around San Antonio, Tx... including Austin and Corpus Christi, maybe even Loredo, Dallas or Houston if the mood for a road trip takes us over. We started filming for our show in September 04 at a large concert that included Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker Group, Starz, Montrose, and Legs Diamond. Some of our footage will be used in Legs Diamond's soon to be released ..ary DVD. Thanks goes to Lone Star Attractions!! Since that time, we have interviewed recording artists A Life Once Lost, American Head Charge, Alex Skolnick Trio, All That Remains, Apocalyptica, Bloodsimple, Broken Teeth, Chimaira, Chris Duarte, Cinderella, Clutch, Crash Kelly, Danzig, Every Time I Die, Fu Manchu, Gigantour, Gwar, Hate Eternal, Into Eternity, Jagermiester Tour, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Metal Church, Opeth, Pitbull Daycare, Project 86, Shadows Fall, Shooter Jennings, Slayer, Slunt, Society 1, Soulfly, Sounds of the Underground Tour, Static X, Strapping Young Lad, The Haunted, Trapt, Unearthed, ZO2, as well as some very talented local bands.
Just try to keep up with me... AIM TxTwister09... ROCK ON!!
Pics are either of me or taken by me...
I just added some more pics in my photo album!)
This is for Heather & the IRS

RIP RAM of TACOLAND & JOHNNY CASH

ISLAND TIME
Thanks to a great friend... I was able to get away from my reality and start anew. I needed a refuge to recharge. I didn't realize it until I was there... This is where I've always wanted to be!

I have met some of the greatest people... and made some of my best friends... down at the coast. I think the change in lattitude made a big change in attitude!! ... This was one of the crossroads of my life... oh how I'd sit at the beach and pray... then I heard the ocean call my name... I decided stay... HELL YEAH!!!

William Miller: "I have to go home."
Penny Lane: "You are home."

THE SHAMEN:
Shamanism is a craft and a way of life, not a religion. It can be practiced anytime, anywhere because Shamans work with their minds, bodies, and with whatever nature provides. The true nature of Shamanism is that while you are learning the craft you heal yourself and, as you heal the self, you also heal others. Learning takes place everywhere; not just in the classroom but from friends, animals, books, spirit guides and life itself.

Band Aid

Are You A Groupie? Or ...
brought to you by Quizilla

Penny Lane: "We are not Groupies. Groupies sleep with Rock Stars because they want to be near someone famous. We're here because of the music. We are Band Aids. We dont' have intercourse with these guys. We inspire the music. We are here because of the music."

William Miller: "That groupie"? She was a Band-Aid! All she did was love your band. And you used her, all of you! You used her and threw her away! She almost died last night while you were with Bob Dylan. You guys, you're always talking about the fans, the fans, the fans; she was your biggest fan, and you threw her away! And if you can't see that, that's your biggest problem. And I love her! I love her!"

Sapphire: "They don't even know what it is to be a fan. Y'know? To truly love some silly little piece of music, or some band, so much that it hurts."

Jeff Bebe: "Rock 'n' roll is a lifestyle and a way of thinking. And it's not about money and popularity. Although, some money would be nice. But it's a voice that says, 'Here I am... and fuck you if you can't understand me.' And one of these people is gonna save the world. And that means that rock 'n' roll can save the world... all of us together. And the chicks are great. But what it all comes down to is that thing. The indefinable thing when people catch something in your music."

Me: "When you are a muse... it's all about the music!"

Movies:

Almost Famous, Rock Star, Banger Sisters, A Knights Tale, First Knight, Braveheart, Ever After: A Cinderella Story, Field of Dreams, Flesh and Blood, Pirates of the Carribean I II & III, The Goonies, Cutthroat Island, Point Break, Endless Summer I & II, Riding Giants, Blue Crush, Dogtown & Z Boys, Lords of Dogtown, Young Guns I & II, Leading Man, How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Summer Lovers, Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love, Under the Tuscan Sun, Unfaithful, Ghost, Just Like Heaven, The Notebook (get out the tissues), First Fifty Dates, What the Bleep!?, Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, The Skelaton Key, Contact, Crossroads (of Robert Johnson fame), Lackawanna Blues (HBO movie based on a true story), Batman: both 60 & 90s, Classic Horror, Bram Stokers Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, Phantasm, Dazed and Confused (filmed in Austin, baby!!), epic Hollywood pics of 60s like Cleopatra, The Robe, Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, etc..., those campy 60s beach movies like Beach Blanket Bingo & Gidget, Blue Hawaii and other cheezy Elvis movies, Yellow Rose and other cheezy Willie Nelson movies

Television:

THE SCENE, Metal Mania, VH1 Classic, Behind the Music, Headbangers Ball, Gene Simmons: Family Jewels, Bret Michaels: Rock of Love, All My Children, Knots Landing, The 70s Show, Lost, My Name is Earl, Two and a Half Men, Carlos Mencia, George Lopez, Six Degrees, Men in Trees, K*Ville, Survivor, Temptation Island, The Simple Life, Pirate Master, Charmed, Classic SNL, Classic WB Cartoons, King of the Hill, All of Star Trek but the original, StarGate SG-1, Hercules, Xena, Highlander, Roar, Young Riders, Roswell, Magnum PI, Dark Shadows, The Munsters, Bewitched, HBO (Sopranos, Sex in the City, Deedwood, Rome, Entourage, Big Love, John from Cin, etc...), History Channel, Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Travel Channel, National Geographic, Food Network, Comedy Central...

Books:

Tommyland by Tommy Lee... MEN - please read Chapter 2 NOW!!! StarMan The Right Hand Man of Rock n Roll by Michael Francis, Cmon Get Happy by David Cassidy, God Guns and Rock n Roll by Ted Nugent, I'm with the Band by Pamela Des Barres, Hammer of the Gods by Stephen Davis, Interview with a Vampire by Anne Rice, Reflections in the Nile by J. Suzanne Frank, Erotic Travel Tales by Mitzi Szereto, How to make Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie, How to be a Great Lover by Lou Paget (highly recommended!!)
Life is not about the end of the story where you put down the book with a satified sigh... It's about all the chapters in between that make your heart race... bring a smile and make you cry... as you work your way deliciously exhausted to the end... where you get to say... THAT WAS A GREAT STORY!

My Song... Texas Twister...
in place of Texas Shaker... a song by Triumph... Little Texas Shaker
The boys were rock 'n' rollin' down in old San Antone
About two thousand miles far away from their home
A little blued eyed beauty was shakin' her thing
The band was hot ya know the mood was right
Gotta shake it up tonight
Got to shake it Little Texas Twister
Got to shake your money maker
Got to shake it Little Texas Twister
Ya, there were pretty ladies standin' all in a row
Waitin' for the boys right after the show
But she was like diamond among other girls
The band was hot ya know the mood was right
Gotta shake it up tonight
Got to shake it Little Texas Twister
Got to shake your money maker
Got to shake it Little Texas Twister
Hey pretty baby forget all you fears
Rock to the music ringin' in my ears
Well I'm a see-saw lover and I think you know
If you don't want to make it then you got to go
Tonight we'll have a party yes I think we might
The band was hot ya know the mood was right
Gotta shake it up tonight

Heroes:

US Troops and the others who serve to protect us... Firefighters, Police, Rescuers, etc... Native Amercians & the citizens of the Fredricksburg, Tx area (which included my fathers family) who were the only ones to ever keep a treaty (YES, there was actually ONE treaty not ever broken!!!)... Pioneers of the Old West... I think about them when I drive to South Texas thru the mesquite trees and cactus or to California thru the desert... what a harsh trek thru the wilderness not knowing where the hell they were going?!
John Wesley Hardin - (Above) Baddest Outlaw of the Old West... my great uncle on my mom's side... best known for shooting a man just for snoring... and for those that don't know me... those that do, will tell you... the blood runs thick in this family... it could happen to YOU!! HA! He has shot around 40 men... more men than any other outlaw... eluded the law until the bounty hunters found him out of state... served some time in jail... then was pardoned by the Govenor of Texas... became a lawyer in El Paso... then was shot over a card game... the man loved to gamble... imagine that. Check out his episode on the History Channel... that is where I learned about his baddness!
RIP DIMEBAG & STEVIE RAY
