Well i have been playing music since the young tender age of 13. but before that I always had a knack for musical creativity. My first musical instrument were pots and pans on my moms kitchen floor. I used to pretend to be Theodore from Alvin and the chipmunks. Then I moved to card board boxes and finally when i turned 11 i got my first guitar. I didn't get serious about playing until l was 13.One day i was hanging out with my friend Danny Scarborough, he was born without hands and had a prosthetic right leg. Though he could do anything he is amazing. Well he had a friend that lived in his neighborhood who's mom had a recording studio in her basement (now called wet basement studios in Roswell GA). It consisted of only a 4-track at the time. But I brought my guitar along with me, we Duct taped some drumsticks to Danny's nubs.... and started rockin' ! ! It was the best feeling in the world Iv'e been hooked ever since.Well I grew up, played in garage bands, took a few lessons, played in the school band as a percussion player, music, music, music. During High School and after I played in a rap/rock fusion band called Gruvn Hi (groovin' high). My closest friends and brother were the members so it was a riot 24/ mother fuckin' 7. We did very well for being a local act by the end of our time we were bringing 500+ people to a show. It was always a party when we played. We open up for bands like Incubus, Dred Zeppelin, the tom tom club, Injected,Shootyz Groove, and two skinny jays just to name a few. Plus had label interests from Liza "left eye" Lopez before she past. Though it was too good to be true, due to internal conflict the band parted ways.So now here I am. Since the great band break up I have been experimenting, writing, and jamming constantly. i have played and recorded with some really great musicians and luckily have recorded my musical adventures. One of which being Royal Family a high energy rock and roll band out of Cumming GA.
Though Most of the songs I am going to share on myspace are old songs recorded on 4-tracks, VS 1824, DAT machines, and in other recording studios. Most were one time recording and jam sessions, others will be experimental musical projects. The KeLLy BoY project is a made up name just so i can share with my friends what I have been creating and loving to do with my life.
