The Strayz

...The original Pitbulls of rock are back!

About Me

Strayz @ 947 - Last Dance
..

The Strayz have a long history, dating back to 1978 and have played in clubs across the Tri-State area, including the Galaxy, 3 Pines, The Park Grill, Spirits, The Cherrywood Lounge, Pennant East and more. Since that time there have been several versions of the band, all including founding member Bob Mumie who has been with them since the beginning. The band originally included members Bob Mumie, Pete Ortiz (Suit Case Murphy), Kenny James Mercier, Vince Shimanski and Paul Sadoff. The band with these members ran from 1978 to 1980. They briefly re-emerged in 1982 with bass player Bob Haury but disbanded in less than a year. In 1992 Bob Mumie and Fred Williams broke away from Double Shot and took the name Strayz along with new Members, Steve Gregory, Karen Mumie Gregory and Dean Gallagher. The band thrived in local clubs for a couple of years and eventually disolved with members starting new families and new lives. (It was a good thing really) In keeping tradition of reviving the band every decade it is time that the band re-emerge and this time it is with a vengence. Bob Mumie and Fred Williams are teamed up with another one time member of the 1990's Strayz, Jeff Stahl. ! Look forward to some hot classic rock, southern rock, motown and disco to getcha on your feet. Be sure to come see us ....this gonna be hot!
