Click here to make your own!Formed in the South Jersey, and playing there as well as the Greater Philadelphia Area, Whiskey Train consists of Kenny Curcio, Johnny Deangelis, Brett Riley, Dominic Grosso and Bart Riley. They are a new band that delivers unforgettable hooks and uplifting lyrics that blend together to soothe the soul.Two long time friends, Kenny and Johnny, had grown restless with playing in cover bands. They decided to get together and work on some of their own material. In the summer and fall of '06 they recorded a six song demo at a small studio near their hometown. From this experience they knew that this was definitely the direction that the two should be taking. Adding another friend of theirs Dom on lead guitar, the three began to look for a drummer and bass player to roundout their lineup. Through a mutual friend the newly named Whiskey Train met twin brothers Brett and Bart. When the five began to play together, there was instant chemistry.The sound of Whiskey Train starts with their two lead vocals. Kenny's rugged voice combined with Johnny's softer tone instantly creates a unique sound. When you add in Dom's explosive guitar riffs, Brett's complex counter melodies on Bass with Bart's rock solid grooves on drums, you get a band that could jam for hours or is equally capable of crafting a head bouncing radio single or a touching ballad. The finishing touches are provided by Johnny's piano, Kenny's rhythm guitar and the full band on harmonies. Once you hear Whiskey Train, you'll know why this is a band that has begun to generate a grassroots buzz that will only continue to grow. They have earned justified comparisons to Dispatch, O.A.R. and the Allman Brothers but, have still been able to create a sound that is very much their own.With their own sound in place, Whiskey Train will continue to write, perform and record their own music. Their first album, "Keep On Walking", is due out on July 20th. The main goal of the band is for people to have as much fun listening to and watching them perform as they do performing and recording their own music for people.
