About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 -

My Interests

I am a 25 year old artist trying to do NUTHING with my life. I grew up roughly 20 minutes from the east coast in Milford, De but I have lived in Charlotte since late 2000. I graduated from UNC Charlotte in May & I plan to stick around for at least one more year but past that, I'll end up where I end up.My family comes before anything else in my life, followed closely by my friends. I enjoy being around good people and I try to be there for my friends whenever I can, even if I can't please everyone at once.I dig all types of music for the most part, but I especially love going to SEE great music performed live. To witness a group of people (large or small) being moved, hanging on every word or truly FEELING every note, key or beat that an artist/band produces is an almost religious experience for me. Music is a truly powerful drug and the stronger the addiction, the better. To pay for life, I work as a freelance designer/artist under the name S. Hardican Designs. I do a little bit of everything from corporate identities & websites to gig posters & murals. It gets stressful at times, but my drive keeps me going and it is nice to know that the harder I work, the more money I should ultimately make. You can check out my portfolio at hardicanstudios.comPretty much any time that I consider "free time" is dedicated to NUTHING, a clothing line that I launched via an on-line store in the early summer of 2006 (aside: FREE TIME IS A MYTH, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE). The 07' Summer line is now available online at wearnuthing.com and will be hitting stores in early June. Check the site for store locations and directions. NUTHING is growing. All support is greatly appreciated and I hope you dig my work. Until then, take it easy and be nice to people. - S.

I'd like to meet:

Too many to list but my top 7 would be Shepard Fairey (obeygiant.com), Trent Reznor, Maynard (is there any other), Rockin' Jelly Bean (posterpop.com), Marc Ecko, Dane Cook, & Ben Harper. I'm also always hype to meet people who do their own thing, regardless of what that might be.

Music:

My favorites are (in no particular order because that sh!t would take way too long to rank) Nine Inch Nails, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Tapeworm (if it ever happens), Sublime, George Clinton, Classic Funk in general, LTJ Bukem, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, The Dresden Dolls, Slightly Stoopid, System of a Down, Suicidal Tendencies, Jurassic 5, Blackalicious, Bob Marley, Kings of Leon, Matt Costa, Oysterhead, Primus, Almost all early-mid 90's Grunge (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, STP etc.), Rage Against The Machine (Audioslave is okay but they'll never be Rage. We miss you Zack!), NoFx, Rancid, Incubus, Lords of Acid, Mindless Self Indulgence, Saves The Day, Latyrx, Dieselboy, Tori Amos, Radiohead, The Strokes, Particle, Disco Biscuits, Beck, Wu, Buddy Holly, Dr. Dre, Dane Cook (not exactly music but inspiring nonetheless), Old Motown, Incog, HUMANS, AC/DC, Aesop Rock, Dilated Peoples, The Roots, Tenacious D, Andre 3000, Dropkick Murphy's, Butthole Surfers, Tom Petty, The cliche' but amazing 60's/70's Rock GODS (The Doors, Pink Floyd, CCR, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead), Queen, old Marilyn Manson, old Metallica, old Chili Peppers, old Korn, old 311, old Michael Jackson (Pre-Creepy White Woman days - Come on now, I'll bet you a dollar that you can't listen to Beat It or Thriller without at least tapping a foot or something), Your Mom.. width="425" height="350" .... width="425" height="350" ..Not much to say other than "DAAAAAMN!!"

Movies:

The Crow, All Quentin movies (not forgetting From Dusk til Dawn, Natural Born Killers & True Romance), Sin City, Everything Kevin Smith (Jersey Girl doesn't count), The Lost Boys, The Harry Potter movies (laugh if you want, that shit's sick), Pixar is Brilliant, Star Wars, Guy Ritchie films (make another one fucker), Tim Burton films (genius when it comes to mood & imagery), Kung-Fu Hustle, Blow, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Requiem for a Dream, 80's horror movies, Dazed & Confused, Half Baked, Old School, A Christmas Story (You'll shoot you're eye out!!) 40 year old Virgin, Most Farrelly Bros. movies, the First Matrix, The Shining, Gummo, DJ Qbert's Wavetwisters, The Brother's Quay short films.

Television:

Family Guy, The Office (US & UK Versions), My Name is Earl, The Simpsons (the yellow ones, not the stupid rich blonde ones), That 70's Show, King of Queens, Weeds, Panther Football

Books:

All of the Harry Potter books, boring (to most people) software books, softcore girly magazines (Maxim, Stuff, etc.) -- I think women are usually hotter when they're half-naked as opposed to fully nude. It leaves more to the imagination and why be completely naked when lingerie kicks all kinds of ass (especially fishnets & garter belts)?! Wasn't I supposed to be talking about books? Phukin' A D D.

Heroes:

See people I'd like to meet and add anyone not afraid to be who they really are at ALL TIMES, regardless of how many "cool" people are around.
