The Dr Jay trio was formed by Dr Jochen Eisentraut, late August 2007. Jochen called Huw and Huw called Joe, that's it pretty much and then they just started playing jazz.
The trio consists of three people who are disgustingly passionate about jazz, with Jochen starting a jazz/jam session club in the Fat Cat in Bangor, Huw off to study jazz in the Royal Welsh College of Music next year and Joe who can name every Weather Report song ever recorded.
The band play at the Greek Taverna in upper Bangor every sunday night. The band are also the house band to the Fat Cat jam session club, which happens every thursday.
