THE REPAST OF SAINT TOAD ON THE ROAD TO NOWHERESVILLE
(illustration from the Apocrypha of Saint Toad®, culled from the Gospel Of The Rubber Chicken®)
Profoundly influenced by Arthur Rimbaud's visionary letters at an early age, I worked at becoming a visionary by ripping myself apart and putting it all back together again, to transform the raw material of imagination into physical manifestations.
Of course, I thought at the time that this would turn me into a god, but instead it actually made me more human, and instead of being able to create matter and energy from nothing, I simply became very adept at translating my thoughts and feelings into images and words. Ecce Homo.
I've been a set designer for the opera "Opium, Diary Of A Cure"; I've played Lucifer in "The Secrets Of Uranus" at Burning Man; I've published comics with Last Gasp, the SF Bay Guardian and countless independents; been a contributing editor to "Filth Weekly Wierd News" from '92 til its demise in '96 (writing and drawing as "Mother Fakir"); I've hosted art carnivals as "MC 2-Soft"; been lead editor and art director for the one-off "ArtCorps"; done cd art for Duckmandu's "Fresh Duck For Rotting Accordionists" with my bud Winston Smith, run naked and screaming through the backstreets of the Mission half insane and all alone, been events coordinator for Balazo Mission Badlands , and am friend, accquaintance and comrade to many of SF's craziest and most talented.
Professionally, I've been an illustrator, animator and designer for most of my adult life, working for print and digital media.

"Quiet thoughts and quiet dreams
quiet walks by quiet streams
and a window that looks out
on the mountains and the sea,
oh how lovely

This is where I want to be
here with you so close to me
until the final flicker of life's ember."

2)
Ah wassa born...
And lord shakin, even then was dumpt into some icy font,
Like some great stinky unclean!
From slum-chuch to slum-church, ah spilt mah heart
To some fat cunt behind a screen...

Ah tied off! fucken wings burst out mah back
(like ah was cuttin teeth!!)
Ah took off!!!
(rats in paradise! rats in paradise!)
There's a mutiny in heaven!

3)
you are a china shop
and I am a bull
you are really good food
and I am full
I guess everything is timing
I guess everything's been said
so I am coming home with an empty head

you'll say did they love you or what
I'll say they love what I do
the only one who really loves me is you
and you'll say girl did you kick some butt
and I'll say I don't really remember
but my fingers are sore
and my voice is too

So pretty that barren fields sprout corn, mountains rise up and the rocks get harder when she walks by!
(help...she's got me in a headlock and is making me write this! --someone call the police!!!)
