Queen Of The Rock Chicks~ The Original R&R Girl

About Me

Balls to the wall, boobies to the air, sh*t kicking R&R---**GET BEBE BUELL MERCH at www.cafepress.com/BebeBuell ** Official Bebe Buell My Space "personal" page~~ www.myspace.com/bebebabyblue *Bebe has been in bands and making records since 1980- her debut EP was "Covers Girl" for Rhino Records. This rare 12", 4 song disc was produced by Ric Ocasek- with the Cars playing on two tracks- and Rick Derringer, the guitar great. Her first band was The B-SIDES and in 1985 she formed The GAROYLES who stayed together until 1991. In 1998 Bebe formed The Bebe Buell Band and is currently playing with a hybrid of musicians from NYC (Jimmy Walls, Bobbie Rae, David Matos) and Boston (Tony Goddess). A new studio record is in the works for 2008. Expect the unexpected! This first slide show is some random assorted stuff from various phases of Bebe's career and the second one is from the Joey Ramone B-Day Bash in NYC at Irving Plaza May 19th, 2006. Bebe's band that night was Cheetah Crome, Richie Stotts on guitars, Andy Hilfiger on bass and Richie Ramone on drums. Bebe and the boys rocked the sold out crowd!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: bebe-buell.com
Band Members: Bebe Buell- vocals/lead singer, harmonica, tamborine and a little bass when she's on the red wine; David Matos- guitar and vocals; Enzo (he's playing with my girl Joan Jett now~yay Enzo)- bass on three of the recordings here; Tommy USA- bass guitar on the live track... "We Call It Rock"- (written by Don Fleming when he was in The Velvet Monkeys- Don also produced the other three songs on here). Gregg Carey (on these 4 recordings) - drums~~ for live dates now I've been using Bobbie Rae from Twin Engines and for some upcoming summer shows, Johnny "Rock" Lynch from the Neighborhoods. And when I'm lucky and he's not busy with his own thing, I get to borrow Jimmy Walls of Das Damen and Vacationland (now Twin Engines) fame to play crunching guitar. Sometimes its one guitar but I like it with two. Three when it's possible!! The more noise the better as far as I'm concerned.
Influences: Mr. Jimmy Osterberg, The Ramones, MC5, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, The Cramps, Redd Kross, Blue Cheer, WTD, Aerosmith, Stooges. For lots more, go to Bebe Buell's person profile at www.myspace.com/bebebabyblue
Sounds Like: Pure, physical, mean, nasty, raw, sloppy, tight, sexy ROCK-N-ROLL!
Record Label: Instant Mayhem/Bebeblue Music
Type of Label: Indie
