About Me

Click Here to Read Movie Reviews at The Aisle Seat

I recently found out that I was one of only 347 people in the world without a MySpace page, so I figured that I should create one. I'm the film critic for The Aisle Seat (www.aisleseat.com) as well as four Central Pennsylvania radio stations (WQKX, WKOK, WEGH, WVLY). I hope to use this page to discuss all kinds of film-related issues with other cinema lovers.

My Interests

Seeing movies, writing about movies, talking about movies, thinking about movies, dreaming about movies. When not doing any of the above: reading, video games, music. Most important interest of all: My family.

I'd like to meet:

Other people who love movies and everything having to do with them.

Music:

Barenaked Ladies, Fountains of Wayne, Yellowcard, Linkin Park, Coldplay, Bee Gees, All-American Rejects, Kelly Clarkson, Incubus, Vampire Weekend, Fall Out Boy

Star Wars series, JFK, Do the Right Thing, Fletch, The Brothers McMullen, Garden State, Dog Day Afternoon, Sin City, Juno, No Country For Old Men, King Kong (1933 and 2005), Clerks (1 and 2), Grindhouse

Television:

The Office, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Extras, The Simpsons, Gilmore Girls

Books:

Heroes:

Kevin Smith answered this question with "Jesus and Batman." Who am I to argue?

My Blog

Holy cow - I have not blogged here since October. Mostly that is because I write an "official" blog for PennLive.com and, since I'm under contract with them, save all my best stuff for that site. Any...

A Week in the Life of Movie Mike

I'm often asked about the specifics of what I do. How many movies do I see in a week? What do I do when I'm not at the movies? What goes into being a film critic? Inspired by those questions, I decide...

Long Time No Blog

Whassup, gangstas? (Sorry, had to rock a little McLovin there...) Has it really been months since I blogged on MySpace? I guess it has. That's mostly due to the fact that I contracted to write a movie...

Get Smart!

Usually, I cringe a little bit when I hear that Hollywood is planning to turn an old TV show into a movie. While a few of them have been good, the vast majority have...not. But here's one I'm actually...
