Shadowplay

Shadowplay is a one-man project from Michael Scholz, the singer of Taste of Decay, Garden of Pleasures and RE-SET!Back in 1981 I had a band called "Töne ohne Trompeten" (T.O.T.) We made songs that sounded like a mixture between "The Cure" and "Abwärts" with german lyrics. We had several live gigs in our hometown Flensburg and we played as the first german band at the Monody-Festival 1982 in Aarhus, Denmark.Then I did a tape called "Franz Shvantz" Strange experimental songs sounding like "Palais Schaumburg" and a landing UFO.Then came "Das Grauen" in 1982/83: German hardcore and Bauhaus/UK Decay-influenced athmospheric songs. There was a tape-release, as far as I remember.1984-1986: Taste of Decay. We made a 7 inch with 5 songs on 33 1/3 rpm (Calling-EP) and 2 Tapes.1987-1992: Garden of Pleasures. Only one song was released on vinyl. Pandora´s Box on the first Nightbreed compilation (thanks to Trev Ghost) The song "Age of lies" which you can hear above is performed by G.O.P.So what comes next?
