Serial Poets

Despising The Ignorant For 13 Angry Years!

About Me

Formed in 1994 by Steven J. Messina, Serial Poets have spent the past decade flying the flag of original heavy music with an emotional edge. With deep roots in classic New York hardcore, old school heavy metal and early 90's Grunge, Serial Poets continue to wage war on an island infested by cover bands. With Godzilla-sized riffs and in-your-face attitude, Serial Poets challenge people to think, Messina's mostly autobiographical subject matter is delivered with an iron fist without sacrificing gut-wrenching passion for bone-crunching heaviness. Robert Granger is an imposing presence on the guitar. A giant both in stature and musicianship. Backed by the tequila-drenched pounding of Michael Angelo Buonomo on the drums, and the cigar-smoke thunder of Joseph Reichenbach on the bass. Serial Poets have only gotten stronger with the passage of time. Preparing to unleash their sixth collection of explosive compositions entitled "Hope All's Well" later in the year, Serial Poets have only grown angrier with age, while always keeping a bit of good natured (Evil, Twisted, Psychotic) humor in the mix. With an eternal eye for the True Crime Girls of the world, Serial Poets need love too! Do yourselves a favor and come see the loudest, most original heavy band on Long Island... Before they come see you!
