We are only a month apart in age. One day my parents decided to adopt a new furry friend. The came into the kitty cove and was just looking around. There were so many kitties there; I didn't think I had a chance. I was only 12 weeks old at the time; I was all alone in a cage in back. All of a sudden my daddy found me....my parents took me out of the cage and it was love at first site and YAY I went home with my new family that day. My mom had also decided at that time to volunteer at the shelter on Saturdays. Well little did I know, my mom would bring me home a brother. My brother Carmine was 8 weeks old and was from a litter of four. Mom & Carmine had an instant bond from the minute she went to clean his cage. When my mom brought Carmine home, the shelter said to keep us separated for a few days cause Carmine had a upper respiratory infection. But we did not let that happen. I broke out of my room and went to snuggle with my new brother. I kept him warm and within a few days we took over the house. I don't think we could have asked for a better family...Thank You Kitty Cove!!!!!..What more can two little orphans ask for???My two babies were adopted as the Kitty Cove Located in Pet Supply plus in Oceanside, New York. It was 2 days before Thanksgivin and mom & dad went food shoppin. As always mom loves to go back to the shelter & play with all the little babies there. Mom has been wanted a new kitty for months but was nervous cause she isn’t know how we would react. So mom walks in the shelter and starts lookin around. All of a sudden a sweet 7 month old kitty - Mia - runs up to mom. She picks her up and immediately Mia wraps her paws around mom's neck starts huggin and kissin her. Mom just melted, she gave dad this puppy dog eye face hopin he would give in to taken her home. Mom new immediately that she was the perfect cat. Unfortunately dad did not give in at this time. They went home (sad to leave little Mia) and for the next 2 days mom kept hintin to dad (sayin poor little Mia so cute she needs a home). Finally dad said it was ok to bring her home. Mom cashed in all her winnin scratch off tickets ($85 the donation fee - mom usually saves the winnin tickets for emergency money) and was off to the shelter to go get her. Sad to say she wasn't there that day; she was in foster care since she had an upper respiratory infection. They told me to come back the next day and they would bring her. Mom went back the next mornin to get our new sister. And again when she went to pick her up out of her cage she immediately hugged & kissed mom like she new she was goin to her new home. Poor little baby, she had such a stuffed up nose; mom had to give her antibiotics twice a day. Now because she was sick, she needed to be separated from us. Luckily mom had one more week off before she went back to work so mom sat with her the whole week why she was sick. But she would let Mia out for a few mins occasionally so we could be introduced to her. Sad to say we did not like her at first especially my brother Carmine. He now has middle child syndrome. We are gettin used to her now; sometimes we even play with her. But since she is still a kitten she is very hyper. Sometimes a bit too hyper for us, but we know she will calm down so in the meantime we need to show her whose boss lol so please meet our new sister.....MIA.
