BIO PROJET LUCKY JOY (FR)
Le projet Lucky Joy, créé en 2007 par Lucas Grolleau est axé autour de ses compositions originales. Artiste franco-suisse originaire de Genève, il écrit de la musique depuis 15 ans au sein de diverses formations musicales (Royale participe en 1998 à des festivals tels que Rock’n’Poche, Fête de l’espoir, 24 h du Rock). En 2000, Lucas s’installe pendant cinq ans à New-York pour enrichir son expérience musicale, il étudie au Williamsburg Music Center à Brooklyn et se forme à la production musicale tout en créant deux groupes The Limit (rock) et Lucas from the Block (électronic) très actifs sur la scène new-yorkaise (plus de 150 concerts). Plus récemment une de ses dernières formations genevoises The Bicycles participe à la compilation Casa Alianza vol 2 (au profit de l’association d’aide aux enfants des rues d’Amérique du Sud).
Lucky Joy propose des compositions éclectiques en français, anglais et espagnol qui mêlent pop, folk, hip-hop, rock, avec un accent particulier sur les voix. Elles distillent une musique dont les accents oscillent entre folk traditionnel du Sud des Etats-Unis, électronique berlinoise, slam new-yorkais et pop suédoise. Le projet marie artistes polyvalents et machines électroniques dans un ballet aux couleurs contemporaines en utilisant les harmonies vocales comme fer de lance du son Lucky Joy.
Dans le projet Lucky Joy, Lucas Grolleau (chant, guitare, clavier, programmation) s’entoure de Juan-Pablo Cisneros (voix, basse, programmation, clavier) et DJ Daniel Parker (beats, scratch, percussions, voix).
Bellegarde, premier single de l’album à venir de Lucky Joy, a été programmé en Repérage sur la radio nationale suisse Couleur 3, diffusée plusieurs fois par jour en août 2007 et choisi comme titre-dédicace des sites Mx3 et MySpace de la radio. Lucky Joy est également actif dans le milieu musical français indépendant, il s’est déjà produit à Paris à la Flèche d’or, le Nouveau Casino, le Pop’in et La Place verte. Par ailleurs, la chanson « On the Road » du groupe est également passée en novembre 2006 sur le réseau de radio indépendant Férarock.
La diffusion coup de poing sur Couleur 3 et le soutien de la radio sont des premier pas très positifs pour la visibilité de Lucky Joy sur la scène musicale suisse, laissant présager le meilleur pour l’album « Ghiffa » en cours d’enregistrement qui devrait être bouclé à l’automne.
BIO PROJET LUCKY JOY (English)
The project Lucky Joy created in 2006 by Lucas Grolleau revolves around his original compositions. A Swiss-French artist from Geneva, he has been writing music for 15 years within various musical formations (Royale takes part in 1998 in festivals such as Rock'n’Poche, Fête de L’Espoir, 24H du Rock). In 2000, Lucas moves to New York. During five years, he deepens his musical experimentations while studying and learning musical production at Williamsburg Music Center in Brooklyn. He created two bands The Limit (rock) and Lucas from the Block (electronic) very active on the New-Yorkean scene (more than 150 concerts). More recently one of its last Geneva formations The Bicycles takes part in compilation Casa Alianza vol. 2 (in profit of the NGO for helping southern-American homeless children).
Lucky Joy creates eclectic compositions in French, English and Spanish mixing pop, folk, hip-hop and rock'n'roll. Belting influences ranging from traditional southern folk, Berliner electronics, New Yorkean slam and Swedish pop, the project mixes electronic machines and multitalented artists in a ballet of contemporary colors, using vocal harmonies as spearheads of their sound. In the project Lucky Joy, Lucas (song, guitar, keyboards, programming) is surrounded by Juan-Pablo Cisneros (voice, bass, programming, keyboards)and DJ Daniel Parker (scratch, beat & vocals).Bellegarde, first single of Lucky Joy’s forthcoming album, was selected as Repérage on the Swiss national radio Couleur 3. In august 2007, the track airing several times a day was chosen as main soundtrack of the radio’s Mx3 and MySpace sites. Internationally minded, Lucky Joy is also active in the French independent musical scene, as it already performed in Paris at the Flèche d’or, the Nouveau Casino, the Pop’ In and the Place Verte. In addition, Lucky Joy’s song On the Road was aired in November 2006 on the French independent radio network Férarock.
The diffusion on Couleur 3 as well as the support of the radios is very positive first steps for Lucky Joy’s visibility on the Swiss musical scene. It predicts the best for the album “Ghiffa†in the course of recording which should be buckled with the spring 2008.

Das Projekt Lucky Joy, das im Jahre 2006 von Lucas Grolleau entsteht, wird um seine Originale Kompositionnen ausgerichtet. Aus Genf stammender franko-Schweizer Künstler, schreibt Lucas Grolleau Musik seit 15 Jahren innerhalb verschiedener musikalischer Formationnen (Royale die im Jahre 1998 an Festival Rock’n’Poche, La Fête de l’Espoir, 24 h du Rock teilnimmt). Im Jahre 2000 installiert sich er in New York während fünf Jahren um seine musikalische Erfahrungen zu erweitern. Er studiert an Williamsburg Music Center in Brooklyn und bildet sich an der musikalischen Produktion, indem er zwei Gruppen The Limit (rock) und Lucas from the Block (electronic) sehr aktive auf der NYC Szene (mehr als 150 Konzerte) einsetzt. Kürzlich nimmt eine von seinen letzten Genferen Formationnen The Bicycles an der Kompilation Casa Alianza vol. 2 teil (zugunsten der NGO von Hilfe für die Südamerikanischenstraßenkinder).
Lucky Joy schlägt eklektische Kompositionnen auf französisch, englische und spanische vor, die pop, folk, hip-hop, rock, mit einer besonderen Betonung an der Stimmen mischen. Sie destillieren eine Musik, deren Akzente zwischen traditionell folk des Südens der USA, Berliner Elektronik, NYC slam und schwedisch pop oszillieren. Das Projekt beteiligt polyvalente Künstler und elektronische Maschinen in einem Ballett an den zeitgenössischen Farben, indem es die Stimmharmonien als Speerspitze des Tones Lucky Joy benutzt.

Bellegarde, erstes single vom Lucky Joy kommenden Album, ist in Repérage (Entdeckung) auf dem Schweizerischen nationalen Radio Couleur 3 programmiert worden, das mehrer Mal pro Tag im August 2007 verbreitet wurde und als Titel-Widmung der websites Mx3 und Myspace des Radios gewählt wurde. Lucky Joy ist ebenfalls aktiv in der französischen musikalischen inde Mitte, er hat sich bereits in Paris am die Flèche d’Or, das Nouveau Casino, das Pop’in und die Place verte produziert. Außerdem ist auch das Lied „On the Road“ von Lucky Joy im November 2006 zum inde Radionetz Férarock verbreitet.
Die Verbreitung auf Couleur 3 und die Unterstützung des Radios sind erste sehr positive Schritte für die Sichtbarkeit von Lucky Joy auf der Schweizerischen musikalischen Szene. Es läßt das beste für das Album „Ghiffa“ im Verlauf der Produktion bedeuten, das im Herbst beendet werden müßte.
