You make me glad to be in rock n' roll

About Me

Biography and Education: Aside from my titled education (high school and college), the majority of my education has come from work experience and meeting freaky, eccentric people. Among these include (but are not exclusive to): office drone, customer service rep for a variety of health care related fields, credit checker, lifeguard, and college radio DJ (stationary as well as remote).
Also included on said resume (although non paid experience) are as such: martial artist and teacher, independent feature actress (also known as underground feature actress), preformance artist, part time musician in percussion, back up vocals and eye candy, band ornament, artist's model, painter (oils and watercolors), drawing, photography, Internet advice guru, and traveler (domestic and international). Not really sure, though, who I am at this point in time despite all these experiences. Still a work in progress. Possible 9th reincarnaion of the Buddha.

My Interests

Travel (domestic and international, time and money allowing), drawing, painting (oil and water), creative writing, martial arts, and a-ha.

I'd like to meet:

Other creative, bohemian or adventerous souls out there. We might not make the world a better place, but we will know how to enjoy life without making it any worse. No alcoholics, no drug addicts and no codependents please. Life is meant to be celebrated. So go and whine someplace else. And of course Morten, Mags and/or Paul. And Paul's wife Lauren as she seems to be right on.

Music:

I actually don't listen to music much. After a while it's like working in an ice cream factory, you just don't eat ice cream anymore. I like the classics: The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, etc. Of more recent stuff I like Nirvana, The Go, and a-ha. I was also a college radio DJ and am well versed in all fields of indie / alternative genres, and although I admit I am close minded about things I try as I might not to be a snob. Depending on circumstances I tend to grab onto something and keep an iron grip on it bandwise. What else is there really?

Movies:

The Usual Suspects, Superman movies (all but the 4th), Almost Famous, Spinal Tap, Amedeus, Scooby Doo, Gangster Number One, 28 Days Later, Children of Men, Friday After Next, Batman Begins

Television:

The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Paula Dean's cooking show on the Food Network (or whatever's on the Food Network), American Justice, VH-1 shows (even though it's mostly fluff), and sorry to say the E! Channel as well, just because it's on most of the time.

Books:

Still writing mine.

Heroes:

Superman, Batman and Gandhi
