"The Hugging Poet"

About Me

MyHeritage : Celebrity Collage - Surname
Yeah, I'm actually in my forties going on 22. Spent my twenties acting like I was forty, so I' just reversing the sequence.
Steve Goldberg is a techno-geek, Dilbert dungeon denizen, blogger, a bodhisattva wannabe, and tongue-tied tattler of timid tomes. Launching into a new experiment in neo-beat bohemianism, Steve has been published in 30/25th’s Not Just Any Versiaries; an email in the talent-rich ArtCrimes 21; Rabbits Over Clevyland; Bag-o-Zines # 54, 57, 63, 65, and 66 (Split Whiskey); the e-zines TheCityPoetry.com and Admit2, Animals Without Backbones (Green Panda Press); and Three by Five #3 (Ptrint). He is included and has an essay in Cleveland Poetry Scenes: A Panorama & Anthology (Bottom Dog Press). Included in the 2008 Hessler Street Fair Poem Anthology, Steve won third place in the poetry competition of the same name. He has been a featured reader at many Cleveland area venues such as Mac’s Backs, The Church (now defunct), Bela Dubby, Visible Voice Books, Firelands Writing Center’s Coffeehouse Series, and the Barking Spider and has participated in the Language Foundry’s 24 hour poetry marathon, Gallery Ü-Haul’s Mix: 24 hr Art program, and Cleveland’s 50th anniversary Celebration of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. In a poorly veiled attempt at self-promotion, he has also been interviewed on local poetry radio show, Wordplay, by renown poet George Bilgere. Steve also organizes a monthly poetry free-for-all at the Literary Café in the historic Cleveland neighborhood of Tremont.

Steve Goldberg reads Poe's "The Raven"

Linda Baldizzi plays the Raven as Steve reads at the Literary Cafe's 10/28/06 Halloween party. Cleveland Ohio. A soft spot for me. Enjoy small indys, the classics from the golden age of hollywood, early silent comedies, the modern good story telling, even some the b movie trash.

Television:

I just replay in my head the crap I stared at during my misspent youth.

Books:

Yahs! minus the harlequin romance yuts.

Favorites: Kerouac, Wolfe, CS Lewis, Orson Scott Card, & Graham Greene.

Still can't get thru Joyce's Ulysses.

Heroes:

Aren't we all, sometimes for someone, some time?
