About Me

KIRKENDAHL VOYD BAND BIO:
Originally a garage rock band, Kirkendahl's Voyd's "Graveyard A Go-Go" CD received airplay on nationally syndicated radio shows such as Hour of Slack (praise Bob!) and Dr. Demento.
The subsequent and highly acclaimed release, "Dream", was a rapid departure altogether and showed a hint of things to come with its quasi-techno styling and industrial texturing. The songs "Muffy's On Prozac" and "I Dance With The Dead" received airplay on college radio, and on one of the corporate stations, as well as inclusion in the indie film "Hero Tomorrow".
The latest album, "Stung", is much more dance oriented than before, but still retains something of a punk edge. This album is a convergence of a number of varied influences, including Dick Dale, Link Wray, Salt n' Peppa, The Prodigy, Tchiakovsky, and Jay Z.

Sounds Like: WHO WE SOUND LIKE: Dick Dale or Link Wray thrown into a room with Salt n' Peppa and Jay-Z, with liberal smaterings of Wednesday Addams, coalescing in a very hard driving, but danceable blend!
