Natural de Minas Gerais, 1976 Iniciou a carreira profissional tocando na Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem Municipal de SP sob a regência dos maestros John Neschling e Samuel Kerr. Participou também da Orquestra Sinfônica Jovem Estadual, sob a regência do maestro Jamil Maluf.
1981-1988-Tocou na Orquestra Sinfônica do Theatro Municipal de são Paulo, sob a regência dos maestros, Isaac Karabtchevsky e Júlio Medaglia,e dos maestros convidados Eleazar de Carvalho, Simon Brecht e Claudio Santoro
Juntamente com músicos da Orquestra Sinfônica Municipal de São Paulo participou da estréia do monólogo ‘O Contrabaixo’, de P Susskind, sob a regência do maestro Júlio Medaglia.
Por motivos de ordem familiar transfere-se em 1989 para Novo Hamburgo (região da grande Porto Alegre), onde passa a tocar com o quarteto de Geraldo Flach, renomado músico gaúcho. Participou na gravação de seus dois CDs, lançados pela gravadora Velas.Acompanhou artistas consagrados da MPB tais como, Ivan Lins, Nãna Caymmi, Roberto Menescal, Carmen Costa, AlaÃde Costa,Elsa Soares, Hermeto Pascoal, Jair Rodrigues, Raul de Sousa, José Alves, Hector Costita, Idriss Boudrioua, Jean- Loup Lognon, Edmundo Cassis, Bob Wyatt, Roberto Sion, Laércio de Freitas, Toninho Ferragutte, Luis Eça. Paulinho Braga, Marcos Resende, Francis Hime, OlÃvia Hime, Luis Carlos Vinhas, Cauby Peixoto, Maria Rita, Edsel Gómez, Guilherme Vergueiro, Eliane Elias, Léa Freire, Zé Eduardo Nazário, Nelson Ayres.'Sérgio Gonsalves Mamão' Manfredo Fest, Ãrgus Montenegro, Garoto e Paulo Moura, e internacionais, Herbie Hancock, Dexter Gordon, Thijs Van Leer, Dave Douglas, Kirk Ligthsey, Billy Hart, (Rick Lawson, ex yellow Jackets) Jeff Ballard (Albert Regni Sax e Jim Walker Flauta, integrantes da Orquestra Filarmônica de Nova Yorke). Participou de vários concertos como músico convidado da Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre (OSPA) e da Orquestra do Teatro São Pedro (OSTSP), bem como em vários grupos de câmera, tocando obras tais como as suites de Claude Bolling e peças para contrabaixo solo.• Participou de duas edições do Free Jazz Festival em Porto Alegre e Florianópolis
Intercalando com Tito Puente Célia Cruz, e Syndicate de Joe Zawinnull
• Em 1996 volta a fixar residência em São Paulo.
• Em 1997 viajou dentro do projeto Pixinguinha por todas as capitais do nordeste com Roberto Menescal.
2001 Atua na orquestra do espetáculo teatral (Les Misérables)
2002 Grava com Toninho Horta cd da banda T. Square pela Sony music lançado
Em Tokyo.
• De 2002 até presente data, vem atuando no quarteto Jaiz- in 4, e com o pianista Mario Boffa Jr.----------Evaldo Guedes born in Minas Gerais started his career in 1976 in São Paulo playing in the Municipal Youth Orchestra, conducted by John Neschling and Samuel Kerr. He also joined the State Youth Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Jamil Maluf.
From 1981 to 1988 he played double bass in the São Paulo Municipal Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Isaac Karabtchevsky and Julio Medaglia. The orchestra was also conducted by three special invited conductors at that time: Eleazar de Carvalho, Simon Brecht and Cláudio Santoro.
Together with some musicians of the São Paulo Municipal Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Julio Medaglia, he played on the début of the musical monolog (play) “The Contrabassâ€, by Patrick Susskind.
In 1989 he had to move to Novo Hamburgo, in the Southern of Brazil, where he started to play with Geraldo Flach, an important southern musician. Evaldo played on his both cds released by the label Velas.
Throughout the years Evaldo played with great Brazilian musicians and singers such as Ivan Lins, Elza Soares, Wilson Simonal, Jair Rodrigues, Nãna Caymmi, Carmen Costa, AlaÃde Costa, Filó Machado, Roberto Menescal, Hermeto Pascoal, Raul de Souza, José Alves, Hector Costita, Idriss Boudrioua, Jean-Loup Lognon, Edmundo Cassis, Bob Wyatt, Roberto Sion, Toninho Ferragutte. Laérçio de Freitas, Luiz Eça, Marcos Resende, Paulinho Braga, Carlos Bala, Zé Eduardo Nazário, Guilherme Vergueiro, Léa Freire, Nelson Ayres, Mauro Senise, Claudio Celso, Nenê, João Palma, Toninho Pinheiro, Willcox, Luiz Mello, Amilson Godoy, Paulo Dorfman, "Sergio Gonçalves"Mamão" Marcos Resende, Francis Hime,Olivia Hime, LuÃs Carlos Vinhas, Moacyr Peixoto, Cauby Peixoto, Maria Rita, Edsel Gómez, Manfred Fest, Argus Montenegro, Garoto, Hector Costita and Paulo Moura. He also played with foreign musicians like: Herbie Hancock, Dexter Gordon, Thijs Van Leer, Eliana Elias, Dave Douglas, Kirk Ligthsey, Billy Hart,(Ricky Lawson the first yellow Jackets drummer) Jeff Ballard (Albert Regni sax and Jim Walker flute fron New York Philharmonic Orchestra:)
He was often invited to play as a special guest with the Porto Alegre Symphonic Orchestra (OSPA) and the São Pedro Theater Orchestra (OSTSP), as well as with many chamber groups, playing compositions such as the Claude Bolling suites and contrabass solos.
Evaldo played on the two editions of the Free Jazz Festival (Porto Alegre and Florianópolis), switching with Tito Puente Célia Cruz, and the Syndicate of Joe Zawinnull.
In 1996 he comes back to São Paulo. In 1997 he joined Projeto Pixinguinha (musical Brazilian project) and traveled the northeast of Brazil with Roberto Menescal. In 2001 he joins the Orchestra of the play Les Misérables. In 2002, both he and Toninho Horta record with the T. Square band their cd, released in Tokyo.
Currently he plays with Jaiz in 4 and with the pianist, Mario Boffa jr.You are now marked on my visitor map!
