REVIEW OF ROCKARIA SHOW @ LEGENDS 25/3/06
"Gunnbunny are a two piece rock n' roll band. And it don't get better. Heavy as stoner but good time ensured like old fashioned rock n' roll, it's not gonna get tighter (one guitar through a guitar amp and a bass amp), the guitar does all the foreground work while he sings his lungs out but leaves room for the drummer to be right up there with him, showing off and deafening the crowd as the tunes are peeled off the walls and sound positive and cool. Bass players are a dying breed if this trend gets better." - Rockaria
REVIEW OF UNDERWORLD SHOW W/ACID KING ON HALLOWEEN 31/10/05
"Gunnbunny took to the stage at The Underworld. Hailing from Oxford the duo consisted of a drummer and singer guitarist who frankly made quite a loud racket between them. Playing a myriad of stoner blues and grunge-laden styles they at first reminded of the desert baked likes of Kyuss that was one part whisky and another part peyote. This was a good groove to raise a glass to and the drummer knew exactly when to hit the wooden block (technical term perhaps not) and make the percussion charge along. As for the vocals, I heard a bit of Mick Jagger as one song ripped away with a dose of Mudhoney and The Stooges in the instrumentation." - live4metal 31/10/05
REVIEW W/NEBULA & WINNEBAGO DEAL AT THE ZODIAC MARCH 2004
"Gunnbunny set proceedings rolling with a brand new thunderous, testosterone-powered epic that twisted and turned through solos, slow bits and instrumentals before rearing it's ugly head again 15 minutes later. This three piece truly deserved their place on the bill, keeping up an awe-inspiring rocket-fuelled pace and warming up the crowd to a menacing simmer." - BBC MUSIC
REVIEW OF OXFORD PUNT MAY 2003 AT THE JAM FACTORY
"Tonight is not just the punt; it is also Jack Goldstein's birthday. Jack is the singer and guitarist for Gunnbunny and he's 17 today. Which makes him the Wayne Rooney of the Oxford music scene. From Mudhoney to Led Zep, they do it all with a raw, aggressive style and homely belligerence. Like your child telling you they were going to be a tank driver, you wouldn't want to stand in their way." - Nightshift Magazine 06.03
REVIEW OF SHOW W/KINGS OF LEON AT THE ZODIAC MARCH 2003
"Maybe KOL wouldn't have been so bad had they not just followed Winnebago Deal and Gunnbunny on stage, the local pair putting on a combined show of strength that would dwarf George Bush's Gulf War taskforce." - Nightshift Magazine 2003
