.. .. I am a married mother of three. I have been married 29 yrs as of this June 2006! My husband, Phil, is also my best friend. Here he is with our daughter Candie at the fair this year. We have two boys and one girl. Mike- 30,Here he is doing the "Got Milk?" thing. Robbie- 20 Here posing as what? A rockstar I'm guessing! and Candie- 16. She is in my picture show if ya want to take a look! We have 1 pet cockatoo. Her name is Marley. She is quite a character and keeps us well entertained and loves to clown around. Here she is playing the Easter Bunny with Candie. She loves to get prettied up!lol I am a stay at home mom/wife. Staying home is a full-time job and leaves very little time for play. I like to spend my free time with my family, friends and on-line friends. I love to go camping and walking on the beach. I also enjoy the mountains. And going on road trips. Wish we had more time to do more trips! Here is a picture of Candie, Robbie and I at the State Fair this year. Hubby is not in the pic because he is the one taking it! lol. My husband is on dialysis 3 days a week every other day due to kidney disease (he had both kidneys removed in 2003) so we have to stay close to home anymore until he gets a kidney transplant. If that isn't enough, I have M.S. I was diagnosed with it the same year Phil found out he had Polycystic Kidney Disease. 1986 was the year. I am still walking, but with a great difficulty lately. I am not giving up the fight or giving in to the disease. I live with it, we understand one another, it hasn't beat me yet! NASCAR became a big part of our lives especially since 2002 when Phil was so sick and I needed something to take my mind off our situation.Oh, I had watched bits and parts of NASCAR racing off and on for years but only while channel surfing. Watching a bunch of cars going around in circles didn't seem all that entertaining in my younger years. NOT SO anymore! One Sunday afternoon, I was desperately in need of some major cheering up..I was flipping thru' the tv stations and hit on one of the Winston Cup races. Or wrecks I should say..there were cars all over the track crashed into each other, the walls, the infield, the smoke from the tires was so thick you wondered just how any of the drivers made it out without hitting another wrecked car..many were wrecking as I watched and I saw the 38 M&M car flipping head over tail down the track. Amazingly, the driver (ELLIOTT) got out of the car unharmed! Meanwhile, this pretty blue car with Lowe's on it's hood continued on without a scratch on it. That is my first glimpse of the 48 car. I then had to stick around to see who the driver was...ok, JIMMIE JOHNSON, then, I stuck around for the end of the race interviews and got to see the driver of the 48. Then, I was hooked! He was major cute! And a very talented driver! Could not believe he was just a rookie.He raced like a veteran. The big crash drew me into the world of NASCAR, J.J. and all the others brought me back! Anyway, from that Sunday on, I have faithfully watched each and every race and followed my favorite driver. NASCAR rocks! It so totally rules the Sports World! It is the most awesome thing on tv today.Can't get enough of the cars or the drivers. Even the commentators have my total attention while they are doing their shows. KENNY WALLACE never fails to make me laugh as does the field reporters such as RUTLEDGE who cracks me up no matter what he is doing! BOB DILNER keeps me listening, I love D.W.at the beginning of the season and his point of views and colorful descriptions of the race in progress. JOHN ROBERTS and JEFF HAMMOND both have such pretty eyes that light up each time they smile. Love those guys! I love everything about the NASCAR world! NASCAR has become like a close friend. And the drivers are like family members. I sure would like to thank NASCAR and all the drivers we have come to know and love..or, at least like, or sometimes tolerate, lol.It is so true, NASCAR is not a sport, but a way of life! Something positive to look forward to each weekend. I can stay positive and happy as long as there are racecars going fast and turning left! Lol. This has been our life since 2002. Our future plans are to go to some NASCAR Nextel races! Or even Busch races would be good. I truly believe someday it will happen!!! ..
