New Shows! Extra Large is playing at The Rusty Nail. More shows to come!
We are sad to announce the departure of trumpetmeister Kristofer Stanley from the band. He will be taking on the role of part-time soundman. We are currently looking for a rock trumpet player to fill his shoes.
ABOUT XL:
Extra Large is the ultimate horn-powered rock ensemble from Warren, MI. Founded in 1998, XL has wowed audiences with timeless classics such as "She Broke my Arm" and "Halloween."
More recently Extra Large has been taking Metro Detroit by storm with favorites such as "I'm So Out of It Today," the hair-anthem "Ode to my Locks" (which has nothing to do with 80's hair bands!) and the jump-around-feet-off-the-ground "Can't Let You Go."
In summer '05 XL recorded and released the 5-song EP Shortcut which is available at all shows, and selections from it can be heard right here!! XL will be returning to the studio in early '07.
But until then, check out one of their upcoming concerts. The music of XL is best experienced live. If you've never been to an Extra Large show and don't know their stuff, don't worry! They'll probably treat you to unrivaled versions of songs you know and love. You'll be blown away by the dazzling sights and electrofunky sounds of Extra Large - The Biggest Band in the Universe!
