I am here for Serious Relationships

About Me

Aggressively friendly. I'm pumped about comedy, music, movies, nice people, and other such awesome things. I enjoy being around people who also like stuff, even if it's stuff I'm not that into - just be psyched about something and we'll probably get along.
If you're super bored, I further clutter up cyberspace with a LiveJournal jam. Read it and weep (laughter tears).

My Interests

Laughing, comedy, zines, independent publishing, Adidas sneakers, wristwatches, fake moustaches, Hefty bags full of money and/or white cloth bags (with giant dollar signs printed on them) full of money, hot prematurely grey-haired dudes, guys in Brooks Brothers button-down shirts with the sleeves rolled up exposing their watch and showing that they're busy/hardworking (think Jason Bateman during most of "Arrested Development"), impromptu dance parties, red velvet cake, full mailboxes, Yankee candles, comfortable and well-fitting bras, eating, manners, nice handwriting, introducing myself to strangers, getting super pumped about stuff, trying to remember to think before I talk, and CONSTANTLY LAUGHING ALWAYS.

Stuff I Am Not Interested In: Most cats (not all, but most), pictures of your cats (unless they are dressed up in human clothes), anything to do with underwater/scuba diving/marine life, anything to do with space/space travel/possible life on other planets, camping, Bono/U2, the Civil War (those ghosts are the scariest/most pissed off ghosts in history), how much you dislike popular and well-liked things just to be contrary, Tori Amos, and little else.

I'd like to meet:

Morrissey (accomplished!), Anderson Cooper (also accomplished, see above!), Bill Hicks (when bringing people back from the dead is scientifically possible - should be pretty soon, right?), Ricky Gervais, Banksy, Zack Morris, Edwyn Collins circa 1982, all of my pen pals/zine bros, YOU!

Also people who don't automatically equate "Southern" with "redneck," "racist," or "illiterate toothless yokel." Even in this progressive space year 2007 there seems to be a surprisingly small number of them.

ALSO: G. Clooney. Where he stay at?
ALSO x 2: Alec Baldwin. Don't get it twisted, dude is smoove.

Music:

R.E.M., The Smiths, Morrissey, Billy Bragg, Elvis Presley, The Lucksmiths, Darren Hanlon, The Clash, The Housemartins, The Beautiful South, Dr. Dre, Blur, Pulp, Bis, Field Mice, Trembling Blue Stars, Monochrome Set, New Order, Velvet Underground, Orange Juice, Josef K, Delta 5, Au Pairs, OutKast, De La Soul, Heavenly, Jay-Z, My Life Story, Elton John, Belle and Sebastian, Would-Be-Goods, Supergrass, Hank Williams Jr., R.O. Manse, Dragon Boy Suede, Cracked Out, Tenacious D, Misfits, Operation Ivy, Lloyd Cole, Frank Sinatra, The Cure, Roger Miller, Brook Benton, Ludacris, Ugly Duckling, Minamina Goodsong, The Stone Roses, Aztec Camera, New York Dolls, Salad, The Slits, The Long Blondes, The Ordinary Boys, Manic Street Preachers, and Look at My Cool Band List: The Album.

For all zero of you that are curious, here are some of my favorite albums of all time:

Movies:

All the ones that don't have Kevin Costner and/or Julia Roberts as part of the cast.

Television:

"Anderson Cooper 360" (basically my version of porn), "The Mighty Boosh," "30 Rock," and Quacker Factory on QVC. (Also anything with Bob Odenkirk and/or David Cross, DUHHH.)

Books:

The Picture Of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde because, duh, I'm a Morrissey fan.

Heroes:

Anyone who helps anyone else out in any way they can. Tony Benn. Billy Bragg. Any and all optimists. People who share.

The one about making three-way calls on your celly.

I'm reposting this bulletin here to have it handy. You're welcome. In many ways I am still (embarrassingly) childlike - I'm still fascinated by a lot of simple things and still wonder to myself "how d...

I was the grossest little kid ever.

So talking to Thara yesterday made me remember how I was pretty much the grossest little kid ever. Some things I used to eat when I was younger: Syrup sandwiches. I have a crazy sweet tooth, and durin...

Spam is sometimes poetry in disguise.

Here's a truly deep and poetic spam e-mail, via my friend Chad. I bet if you're in high school and you enter this into a poetry contest/your school's literary magazine you will win.   From: Yola...
