About Me

Sonicamelodica (aka JDM) is hoping to offer more opportunities for young bands (U18) from North Manchester, Oldham and out lying areas to play some gigs. I have been managing/helping a young band called THE COUNTER CULTURE for the last year or so and have found it difficult at times to get them gigs. Following a bit of advice from someone who does this sort of thing a lot, I have now decided to start putting together a few gigs of my own. I have a couple of venues willing to help out and little else but off we go. This is a completely non profit venture with the gigs being free entry when possible, any charges that may be made on the door would go to either to the actual venue or towards my costs IF I HAVE HAD TO HIRE THE VENUE.I have a regular open age night at THE CRICKETERS SHAW every second thursday at the moment and also have a brilliant "ANTI PROM" end of school gig on the 26th June. ANY YOUNG BANDS WHO MAY BE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING GIGS BECAUSE OF THEIR AGE. GET IN TOUCH IF YOU WANT TO PLAY GIGS IN THE OLDHAM / NTH MANC AREADONT FORGET THESE ARE OPEN AGE GIGS SO OVER 18 BANDS ARE WELCOME AS WELL.
