The Counter Culture

About Me

Edgy. Dramatic. Raw. Just some of the ways you could describe The Counter Culture. Mancunian sound they are not. The Counter Culture are out there on the edge all alone – Brilliant!.
Dry Bar review.
So there you have it, it's quite simple really. We are The Counter Culture, from Manchester, and we are here to make a difference. We are sick sick sick to death of generic, mindless, vacuous indie bands clogging up the airwaves and the charts with their tedious dirge, so we decided in October 2006 that the time for change had come. No more jangling, polite guitars, no more twee lyrics concerning irrelevant subjects, no more cynical money chasing - this band want to make a difference. This band want to be the difference.
We make Psychedelic Punk Rock music, and we do it because we feel tired and frustrated by what most music in general has become. There is no integrity about anybody anymore, no character about anybody, nobody has anything interesting to say anymore. We aim to change that.
If you believe in creativity, intelligence and integrity and want to help us break the soul-destroying slew of mundanity that modern mainstream music has become, then support us, come to a gig or post a comment or something. We want to share our music with you.
Thank you for reading this, you must have the patience of a saint
