This morning I'm thinking about when I talked to Manson on the phone few years back.
It's funny how I didn't believe Ryan when he was tellin' me Charlie was calling.Not that he would have lied,it just seemed too far out.
It wasn't far out at all.The look on Ryan's face when the call came in was damn funny,like he'd won a prize.Now he could prove it to me.Charlie was on the line.
Somehow I still didn't believe it until he put me on.And when I heard Charlie, I fuckin' well KNEW it was him.Not that I had to say anything,Charlie was in full effect.It was pretty beautiful the way it was all murder and bloodshed right outta the gate.
Ryan's crackin' up in the corner,listening in,knowing I couldn't have caught him at more stereotypical Manson moment.
He wanted the heads of the South Park guys.Not so much because they made fun of him,but because they DIDN'T PAY him.
I wish I had a fucking tape of that shit now.It was somthing I'll never forget.Especally when Charlie TOLD me I was in the "Family",and how we had members in all walks of life,and in positions to carry out the mission.
The mission was we were gonna take all the enemies of the "Family" and put 'em in little cages and put 'em on a fucking train straight to HELL.And when he finally put the word out,NOBODY was gonna stop us.
Son of a Bitch,if he didn't sound convinced of it.The whole while reminding me I WAS part of HIS "Family".He made it pretty clear I didn't have much of a choice.He had chosen me.
About then the phone call got cut off by the prison.I guess his time was up.I gotta admit,that was one trippy conversation,even though about the only part I had in it was to agree with Charlie,when I could manage to squeeze in an "Uh-HuH,' or "Right on".
Ryan's still crackin' up.
"Man,I've NEVER heard him that livid!You sure picked the right night to be here.
Dude,You're in the Family!"he reminded me.
"I guess so.I heard it straight from the man himself."I replied,
as we both looked at each other half sideways.
If Charlie was to be believed,
and that motherfucker sounded as serious as a fork in Mrs Labianco's belly
I guess I am.
And on mornings,like this morning,when the sun shines down on my beaten broke ass,
with no hope of employment or of ever attaining anything close
to that lie society calls success,BR>I have to entertain the thought
that maybe Charlie had it right.
