About Me
Greetings to all, family, friends and anyone that views my page. God has blessed me with the gift of music and I really appreciate it to the highest! I would like to say thanks to everyone that has contributed to the growth of my musical talents! Now.... Who is Ellis Gamble???? I was born in the small of Kingstree, SC in July of 74! Yes a country boy!!! As far as I could remember I've always been surrounded by music from both sides of my family. Both grandmothers played piano and all of the grand kids played an instrument or knew how to make a JoyFul Noise! (Smile) but my true inspiration was created by the musicians at the church I attended growing up as a child. I would watch and listen to the musicians during church services and go home, take my mother's pot lids and bang them all up. From that a drummer was created. Later I ask my father for a keyboard. I was torn between the two so I would play drums and keys about 10 times in one day!! During the years I was inspired daily by local musicians. Listening to John Pee Kee, Hezekiah Walker and others brought about a desire to elevate my musical talents to the next level. During my school years I was involed in anything that was attached to music from the school jazz band to the gospel choir. After graduating from high school I enlisted in the military, during basic training I can say that my love for music was so strong I actually build up enough nerve to ask the drill sgt can I have my keyboard ship here, suprisingly they agreeded!! My first active duty assignment was Ft Riley Kansas. There my musical talents took a turn for the best, I played for churches, military prayer breakfast, weddings, and I met alot of musicians from different nationalities. While serving in Kansas I was introduced to JAZZ By one of the ARMY's best bass player Johny Stweart. He then connect me with some of the other fine musicians Mike Brown, Ernest Whilhotte, Daphine Maxwell, Robert Dunham, The Hammond Family and more!!! There I also became a memeber of a FUNK/SMOOTH JAZZ BAND!! By the name of Se7en! These guys really helped me to take it to the next level! Keyboardist Wayne Valentine, Bassist Eric Thomas, and My good ole buddy Guitarist Tim Perry! WOW! These Guys Taught Me The Meaning Of M-U-S-I-C!!! During that time I also formed a shedding band by the name of Primary Elements, together we played everything from country to reggae! Before leaving Kansas I was hornored to have a great conversation with the Professional Drummer Virgil Donati! This guy is just wonderful! Oh I did get his autograph by the way. My new home is now Irmo, SC. Here in the Carolina's I've met another family of fine musicians. My best bud is the lead singer from the Okaysion's, Daryl Howard. Daryl introduced me to Jimi Clinton the cousin of the legendary George Clinton, Richard Wallace one of the vocalist from the Mighty Clouds Of Joy! Together Daryl and I partnered to form Diamond Entertainment Production Company. We have produced many fine solo artist and groups, IV Christ, Sammy Young & Images Of Christ, Roderick Pearson, Rohdan Richardson, Ernie Anderson and more. I'm also very hornored to say since moving to the Carolina's I've met TONE'X, Ricky Dillard, Marvin Sapp, Derrick Starks and others. Well as you can see I'm enjoying my musical ride! At this point I can say that I've learned to play 4 instuments by God's grace and mercy! Drums, Keyboards, Sax and now into four months and counting, Bass Guitar!! Not bragging just blessed! All of the music that you hear on my page was written and produced by me. I hope that you have enjoyed my musical life story. Stay tune for more I just purchased a new home recording studio! G's MUZIK Is BACK!! LOL!
