Band Members:
Influences: My father "Pee Wee Clark", Donnell Farmer(the first bass player I ever heard play some amazing licks). I enoy listening to a broad spectrum of music starting with quartet music(Williams Brothers, Canton Spiritual, Christianaires, Mighty Clouds on to Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Tye Trebitt, Kenny Lattimore & Chante Moore, on to Vickie Winans, The Clark Sisters, on to Marcus Miller, Stanley Clark, & Victor Wooten. I'm also proud to be the bassist for Legendary Joe Ligon & The Mighty Clouds of Joy.
Sounds Like: I really haven't patterned myself after anyone in particular. I listen to alot of different styles of music to create the style you hear. I like Fred Hammond but I don't play like him. He is awesome! I try to pull from what's in my heart and bring it out. I really love creating lines for (quartet drives) uptempo songs. I listen to music outside of quartet to influence what I play in quartet music. When I'm playing contemporary music I try to pull from influences I get from Jazz and R&B. Just trying to explain my way of thinking bass!
