About Me

I was contemplating the purpose of having an 'about me' biography when it occurred to me that the greatest ability I have is that of writing. It's not your typical flying or being invisible, or even more obscurely, stealing people's baguettes at the speed of *blink*--c'mon, who can argue with amazing free bread?--but it's the power of getting ideas out there, and for a mortal, I'd say that's one of the greater abilities I have. So....
here liveth my typed self.

----------------- -----------------

"I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It's just that the translations have gone wrong." - John Lennon

My Interests

biking, hiking, reading, running, writing, the sky, charcoal drawings, words, the outside, cereal, on-the-floor mattresses, the funny papers, penciled notes, isms, last impressions, the cinema, otter pops, after-eating-an-orange orange-smell on hands, when someone joins you at a table, sense memory, idiosyncrasies, paper

I'd like to meet:

Everyone, so long as they're not anyone I look up to. I want to meet people and grow to look up to them for the impressions they leave on me.
I never want to meet anyone I don't know but look up to. Because the truth is, as much as I know that these authors, poets, actors, singers, and painters are real people who burp, fart, and go to the bathroom, I never want my romantic notions of them to depart.
