Born in Manhattan raised in Harlem, SpideR $tyle has always been an artistic soul, a deep thinker, and a champion amongst champions. Saddened/angered by injustice and influenced by freedom fighters of old and new, it’s only natural for his music to have a positive spin. He believes in the power of the voice, the power of Hiphop, and holds tightly onto the notion of righteous raps bringing forth freedom from oppression world wide.Mission – to have fun and entertain: educate through entertainment: speak on personal, local, and worldly issues: spark consciousness through knowledge and awareness: show diversity in content and flow: contribute to the Golden age of Hiphop that is soon to come:Experience – SpideR $tyle’s love for play on words and rhythmic rhyming first arrived in the form of poetry during his elementary years. He also loved to wise crack, clown, and make up parodies since his early years. SpideR $tyle wrote rhymes in high school and kicked them amongst his peers for fun and due to lack of interest in school. He considered a career in Hiphop @ the age of 18 and began to express himself in a more song formatted manner. He wrote his lyrics with passion, intensity, and an unusually great deal of honesty…because of this, he shared his work with only a selected few. When he finally decided to spit for a broader audience, he was told that he was reciting poetry and not rapping (this was due mostly to the fact that he wasn’t writing to beats). Determined to work on his flow, SpideR $tyle started to freestyle in more and more ciphers. He purchased a tape recorder and held freestyle sessions with encountered MC’s. These sessions were taken seriously, each MC was told to keep the fire burning and pick up where the latter left off, never leaving a dull moment while rapping until the beat CD ended or the tape ran out. These sessions worked wonders for his flow, freestyle ability, and song writing skills.
