About Me

Enter Divine Sonz. Rhyming together in local talent shows since middle school, the Richmond,VA based group of Bentson & Charged Up even made an appearance on BET's Teen Summit National Talent Search. Divine Sonz later added member Noah and formed their own label, Charged Up Entertainment. They began performing, pushing mixtapes and music production throughout VA, DC, & NC. Recognizing a void in the current climate of urban music , Divine Sonz began to craft songs with deeper lyrical content and a unique musical sound they could call their own. Touching on topics as wide ranging as the current Iraq War to Religion, the group captures attention with their mainstream yet thought provoking style. Not content with merely making songs about the struggle, Divine Sonz founded the non-profit Virginia Youth Are Yearning (V-yAy) Foundation and sponser an annual community event in their hometown, V-yAy Day aimed at providing alternatives to gangs, drugs and violence through the use of performing arts. With these attributes already under their belt and so much more to look forward to in the future, Divine Sonz are poised to carve their name into History.
