If asked to define an "artist" most people would say a free-spirited, casual thinker. Hear the word "industry", machines instantly come to mind, schedules, deadlines, order and structure. Chatting with Freeze, you would get the impression of an artist, with his laid-back demeanor, his casual style and imagery rich conversation-style. Freeze in one candid interview remarks, "...the music industry...is an oxymoron. How can you regiment, schedule, and pressure cook real music, the product of an artist?...the "industry" has stripped away all the juicy fat of music and has melted it down to what sells, (and) what adds to the bottom line, hooks, hooks and more hooks...what happened to the albums that take you on journey in ya mind and left you wanting more at the end...now all you have is party, party, party, but where are the good stories, even a party can have a story to it!"With the offering of his debut single, "MISTRESS" into the market FREEZE has accomplished just that a fun, fantasy story. Freeze has already garnered interest from National magazines covering his story, as well as collecting radio "add" dates all on his own. From a strong start in making a name for himself, Freeze feels poised to show the world what true artistry is in business and music.As a self-described eclectic artist, Freeze, pulls some of his major musical inspiration from such rap titans as Bone-Thugz & Harmony, social conscious rhymes of Tupac-Shakur, and larger than life deliveries of Biggie Smalls. With an upbringing shaped by a preaching family, spanning much of the United States, his energetic, imagery rich lyrics hint at an artist ripe with stories of life, love, and struggle.
