THE LAW INKS DEAL WITH METALCENTRAL RECORDS!
The swedish thrash metal unit THE LAW have inked a record deal with METAL CENTRAL RECORDS
THE LAW, feat. VOMITORY guitarist Peter Östlund, got great reviews for the demo “Dudes of darkness†that was recorded and released in 2006. It also got them a spot in the soundtrack of the notorious GET THRASHED (http://www.getthrashed.com) documentary featuring bands such as EXODUS, OVERKILL, METALLICA and SLAYER. All tracks for the yet untitled debut CD are recorded and will be released in early 2008. The songs are heavy influenced by the bay area thrash metal scene, but the band manages to still do their own thing by incorporating hardrocking grooves and focusing on melodic vocal arrangements.
Line-up:
Tobias Jansson – Vocals (TREASURE LAND, SUGARGLIDER)
Björn Larsson – Guitars (KARENSDAG)
Peter Östlund – Guitars (VOMITORY)
Jimmie “Ninja†Frödin – Bass
Johan Rudberg – Drums (KARENSDAG)
METALCENTRAL RECORDS is a newly founded label and one Sweden’s largest webzines that released a compilation of Swedish underground metal acts entitled “Metalcentral Metal Collection†in early 2007. The compilation featured bands such as SONIC SYNDICATE, THE LAW, DOGPOUND, VINDICTIV and MOONVILLE. METALCENTRAL RECORDS are psyched about the first signed deal and proud to be the ones presenting THE LAW to the metal scene.

Dear John.
We may not look pretty &
we may not be thin,
but we got what it takes
to kick ass ‘n’ win!
What do you get if you mix Dolph Lundgren, a calzone and a can of whoop-ass? You get a little bit of fingerlickin' thrash mayhem! In the most important year in metal history (early 2004), three strapping young lads joined forces to create the sounds of what we all love...thrash metal! The legion of phatness was summoned, and the world started to grin.
Frustrated with the situations of their former bands, they looked into the magic mirror of metal for other dudes of darkness to play with, in all senses of the word. And so THE LAW was born. The aim was set to play flawless old school thrash, and boy did it work! Like the divine blend of water, barley malt, hops and yeast they mix the vibes of american and european thrash metal. The first flash of victory was a contribution to the mighty GET THRASHED documentary ( http://www.getthrashed.com ) which was an elite way for these dewds to prove themselves worthy. And the Gods smiled for the first time since Tony Iommi tuned his guitar down.
After a few changes in the line-up the legion grew stronger than ever. Today 5 sexkittens are bearing the heavy burden of exploring new audio landscapes and continuing the legacy of metal. And you are invited to mosh, kid! Today, these overweight metal kids (ehh... oh well...) are waiting eagerly for a label to come to their door and throw bling-bling their way. Is 2007 the year for THE LAW? I sure hope so, as do Rutger Hauer.
So bust open a cold one, strap on your strap-on and let the moshing begin!
See you in the pit...
